Family Resource Programs provide programs and services for parents and families to support the well-being and development of their children. These include parenting programs, family support, child development activities, practical supports, basic needs/resources, information, referrals, etc.

The Rangeland Management Zones dataset is comprised of all the polygons that represent the Rangeland Management Zones in Alberta. A Rangeland Management Zone is an administrative area designated by the Lands Division in which grazing and other agricultural uses related to public land are managed by regional branch offices. The boundaries are used to ensure referrals are sent to the correct locations. The Rangeland Management Zones was formerly known as Alberta Sustainable Resource Development Rangeland Management Districts.

Ontario's Healthy Babies Healthy Children program helps infants and children up to age 6 and their families through: * risk screening and assessments * referrals to community programs and services * supports for new parents These shapefiles provide geospatial data for mapping the 34 Healthy Babies and Healthy Children delivery regions in Ontario. __Please note:__ The Healthy Babies Healthy Children program is delivered through Ontario’s public health units in partnership with hospitals and other community partners. The Healthy Babies Healthy Children boundaries align with Public Health Unit boundaries.

Prospecting leases are dispositions of land granted under the Placer Mining Act for the purpose of testing and prospecting ground for placer deposits. Prospecting leases cannot be mined. With reference to baselines, prospecting leases are staked in the same manner as placer claims, but cover a greater distance (up to a maximum of 5 miles). A placer claim is a parcel of land located or granted for placer mining. A claim also includes any ditches or water rights used for mining the claim and all other things belonging to or used in the working of the claim for mining purposes. A placer claim is a rectangular plot of ground. All angles of a claim must be right angles, except in the case where a boundary line of a previously located claim is adopted as common to both locations. The length of a regular placer claim from post one to post two is 500 feet along a baseline. This dataset is used is used to determine the significance or status of wetland classes and certain other natural heritage features. It is also used to set targets for Wilderness Class Provincial parks, State of the Forest reporting and to study natural disturbance regimes.

This dataset identifies locations of wilderness and recreation tourism activities. Activities are: fishing, biking, hiking, snowmobiling, rafting, boating, flight seeing, dog mushing, driving tour, off-road vehicle, cross country skiing, canoeing, wildlife viewing. The locations were collected through interviews. Locations and areas were indicated on paper maps and transferred to digital. This is not a complete or up to date dataset.
