Plains Northern Foothills Regional Boundaries
The Plains, Northern, Foothills Boundary feature class contains polygon features representing Department of Energy Regional Boundaries for the Province of Alberta.
Ministry of Transportation (MOT) Regional Boundary
Ministry of Transportation Regional Boundary is an exclusive geographic area within the province that the Ministry organizational unit is responsible for. Each Ministry Region is partitioned into one or more non-overlapping Ministry Districts that cover the entire Ministry Region
Regional Districts - Legally Defined Administrative Areas of BC
Legally defined __Regional District__ polygons were drawn from metes and bounds descriptions as written in Letters Patent for Regional Districts in the province of British Columbia. In the event of a discrepancy in the data, the metes and bounds description will prevail. Although the boundaries were drawn based on the legal metes and bounds descriptions, they may differ from how regional districts and their member municipalities and electoral areas currently view and/or manage their boundaries. Where discrepancies are noted, the Ministry of Municipal Affairs (the custodian) enters into discussion with the local governments whose boundaries are affected. In order to effect a change to the boundary, Cabinet approval is required. This is done through an Order in Council (OIC). While discrepancies to administrative boundaries are being resolved, boundaries may be adjusted on an ongoing basis until the requested changes are completed. The OIC_YEAR and OIC_NUMBER fields indicate the year that the boundary was passed under OIC and its associated number. The AFFECTED_ADMIN_AREA_ABRVN identifies the administrative areas that are affected by the OIC. Please note that the Northern Rockies Regional Municipality appears to be a gap in the Regional District layer, but it is a municipality and can be found in the [Municipalities Layer](https://catalogue.data.gov.bc.ca/dataset/municipalities-legally-defined-administrative-areas-of-bc). A polygon dataset that includes all of the administrative areas currently in the __Administrative Boundaries Management System (ABMS)__ is available [here](https://catalogue.data.gov.bc.ca/dataset/legally-defined-administrative-areas-of-bc). A complimentary point dataset that defines the administrative areas is also available available [here](https://catalogue.data.gov.bc.ca/dataset/legally-defined-administrative-areas-of-bc-boundary-locations). Manitoba Provincial Boundary
Feature layer of the Manitoba provincial boundary.A feature layer of Manitoba's provincial boundaries:Manitoba/Ontario boundary, Manitoba/Saskatchewan boundary, Manitoba/Nunavut boundary, International boundary. Excluding the International Boundary, the graphical data was computed from original boundary survey measurements published in respective official boundary commission reports using least squares adjustment software "Manor". The adjustments were constrained to known NAD83 [nmip94 adj.] federal/provincial boundary marker positions. For the International Boundary, the graphics were created by converting the official published NAD27 marker positions for the boundary into NAD83 using datum conversion software NTv2 and interconnecting the plotted marker positions with straight lines using CARIS map software. The purpose is to provide end users with a digital map of Manitoba's boundaries. This data layer is suitable for most medium and small scale digital map applications as well as GIS georeferencing in general. This Manitoba provincial boundary was originally published on January 12, 2004. It was uploaded to Manitoba Maps as a feature layer on December 15, 2016. Use Constraints: The Hudson Bay shoreline for this product was taken from 1:500,000 scale digital mapping and is intended for generalized small scale mapping of this portion of the provincial boundary. Estimated accuracy if plus or minus 125m. Fields Included: FID: Sequential unique whole numbers that are automatically generated, AREA: GIS area in square-metres calculated in the NAD83 Universal Transverse Mercator Zone 14 coordinate system, PERIMETER: GIS perimeter in metres calculated in the NAD83 Universal Transverse Mercator Zone 14 coordinate system, NAME: province name

Manitoba Zoning By Laws
The purpose of this layer is to provide end users with a spatial representation of the Zones in adopted Zoning bylaws and their consolidated amendments in Manitoba. This layer is intended to be a source of data delivery as well as usage in situ. This dataset is comprised of boundary geometry representing the zones in the Zoning bylaws (as defined in The Planning Act) in force and effect within the Province of Manitoba. Spatial referencing of the zones is based on the best available land parcel data for each municipality. Where available, land parcel data based on registered survey plans and ground control coordinates was used. Otherwise, the reference grid maintained by Manitoba Sustainable Development was used. The delineation of the boundaries is set by the bylaw establishing or amending the boundary of each zone. Dataset content is subject to: Ongoing changes in zone boundaries which are determined by amendments to adopted Zoning bylaws or the adoption of new Zoning bylaws. Ongoing development and maintenance of the land parcel datasets. Improvements to the land parcel data are used to improve the positional accuracy of the zone polygons. As of the publication date of this dataset, the following known issues remain: For zone boundaries that include water boundaries, the water boundary that best reflects the intended zone boundary was used. In some instances, road allowances on a municipal boundary are included in both of the adjoining municipalities. Please visit the Manitoba Municipal Relations website for more information at www.gov.mb.ca/mr. The Zoning bylaw data reflects the most current zones at the time of export and was uploaded to Manitoba Maps as a feature layer. Fields Included: OBJECTID: Sequential unique whole numbers that are automatically generated ZBL: Number assigned by municipality to identify a specific bylaw ZBL_A: Number assigned to a bylaw that amends an existing zoning bylaw MUNI_NO: Manitoba municipality identifier number MUNI_NAME: Name of municipality ZONE: Letter code that corresponds with Zone Name as stating in the zoning bylaw ZONE_NAME: Name of Zone as stated in bylaw ZONE_CATEGORY: Zone category as interpreted by Municipal Relations AREA: Area of each polygon expressed in acres PLANNINGREGION: Area of responsibility for a Community and Regional Planning Branch (In the Department of Municipal Relations) office PLANNINGDISTRICT: Name of the Planning District to which the municipality belongs if applicable MUNI_NAME_2014: Name of municipality before 2015 Amalgamations MUNI_NO_2014: Manitoba municipality identifier number before 2015 Amalgamations AMENDMENT_DESCRIPTION: Summary of change by the amending bylaw stating the zone before and after an amendment (e.g. RR to MG)
