Distribution and abundance of whales in the Mackenzie estuary, southeast Beaufort Sea, and west Amundsen Gulf during late July 1992
This dataset contains digital data files on transects flown and reported in Harwood, L.A. and P. Norton (1996). Aerial survey data from the southeast Beaufort Sea, Mackenzie River estuary and west. Amundsen Gulf, July 1992. Canadian Data Report of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences No. 964
Bowhead whale sightings made on 24-25 July 1992 in the Beaufort Sea and Amundsen Gulf
This record contains data on bowhead whale locations reported in Harwood, L.A. and P. Norton. 1996. Aerial survey data from the southeast Beaufort Sea, Mackenzie River estuary and west. Amundsen Gulf, July 1992. Canadian Data Report of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences No. 964
Beluga whale sightings made on 23 July 1992 in Mackenzie River Estuary
This record contains data on beluga whale locations in the Mackenzie estuary reported in Harwood, L.A. and P. Norton (1996). Aerial survey data from the southeast Beaufort Sea, Mackenzie River estuary and west. Amundsen Gulf, July 1992. Canadian Data Report of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences No. 964
Likelihood of Presence of Atlantic Cod in Area Response Planning Pilot Areas
The Coastal Oceanography and Ecosystem Research section (DFO Science) reviewed the presence of Cod in the Population Ecology Division (DFO Science) Ecosystem Survey trawls to describe the likelihood of presence. The survey consists of a stratified random design using a bottom trawl. This layer was created for consideration in oil spill response planning.A version of this dataset was created for the National Environmental Emergency Center (NEEC) following their data model and is available for download in the Resources section.Cite this data as: Lazin, G., Hamer, A.,Corrigan, S., Bower, B., and Harvey, C. Great Lakes Fish Biodiversity Database
The Great Lakes Fish Biodiversity Science Database is a compilation of fish community and habitat data from DFO Science surveys, primarily related to freshwater fishes of conservation concern in the Great Lakes basin. Data include: sampling site location, date, fish species and counts, and associated habitat information. Project-specific details including purpose/objectives and study methodology are often reported in the DFO Canadian data report of fisheries and aquatic sciences series.
Index of equity in living environments
The Living Environment Equity Index is a territorial index that aims to locate living environments that combine urban vulnerabilities in order to encourage the prioritization and convergence of municipal investments. This index represents environments that combine social, economic, environmental vulnerabilities, vulnerabilities in access to local resources, in access to cultural, sports and leisure resources and in urban security. This data set includes:* 23 indicators divided into 6 equity dimensions* 6 sub-indices representing the dimensions of equity* the index of equity in living environments __Interact with visualization data [Living Environment Equity Index - 2024] (https://services.montreal.ca/indice-equite-milieux-vie).__**This third party metadata element was translated using an automated translation tool (Amazon Translate).**

Great Lakes Aquatic Invasive Species Surveillance Database
The Aquatic Invasive Species Surveillance Database is a compilation of fish community and habitat data from DFO’s Aquatic Invasive Species and Invasive Carp Program early detection surveillance efforts in Canadian waters of the Great Lakes basin. Data includes: sampling site location, date, fish species and counts, and associated habitat information. Annual project-specific details including purpose/objectives and study methodology are often reported in the DFO Canadian manuscript report of fisheries and aquatic sciences series.
Likelihood of Presence of American Lobster in Area Response Planning Pilot Areas
The Coastal Oceanography and Ecosystem Research section (DFO Science) reviewed the presence of Lobster in the Population Ecology Division (DFO Science) Ecosystem Survey trawls to describe the likelihood of presence. The survey consists of a stratified random design using a bottom trawl. Lobsters are found in few trawls in the Bay of Fundy and Port Hawkesbury Area Response Plan regions, however Lobsters are landed in nearshore areas. Therefore, lobsters are described as being likely present throughout the ARP.
