BC Wildfire Fire Perimeters - Historical
Wildfire perimeters for all fire seasons before the current year. Supplied through various sources. Not to be used for legal purposes. These perimeters may be updated periodically during the year. On April 1 of each year the previous year's fire perimeters are merged into this dataset
Wildlife management units
Wildlife Management Units are used for a number of wildlife management purposes, like indicating the areas of Ontario where hunting open seasons and harvest quotas apply. Wildlife Management Unit boundaries are regulated under the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act - Ontario Regulation 663/98, Part 6 as amended.
1 km agricultural mask from the Crop Condition Assessment Program (CCAP) - 2015
The following dataset correspond to the 1 km agricultural mask from Statistics Canada’s Crop Condition Assessment Program (CCAP). The mask have been generated from the classes 110 to 199 of the 2015 Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada’s landcover classification. The selection was then generalized to a spatial resolution of 1 km. The 2015 mask was used from the 2015 to the 2018 growing seasons inclusively.
230 m agricultural mask from the Crop Condition Assessment Program (CCAP) - 2015

The mask have been generated from the classes 110 to 199 of the 2015 Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada’s landcover classification. The selection was then generalized to a spatial resolution of 230 m. BC Wildfire Fire Incident Locations - Historical
Wildfire historic incident point locations for all fire seasons before the current season. Supplied through various sources. Not to be used for legal purposes. This data includes all incidents tracked by BC Wildfire Service, ie. actual fires, suspected fires, nusiance fires, smoke chases, etc. On April 1 of each year this layer is updated with the previous fire season's data
Manitoba Game Hunting Areas
Game Hunting Areas (GHAs) are defined under the Hunting Areas and Zones Regulation (220/86) of The Wildlife Act (CCSM c. W130).Game Hunting Areas (GHAs) are defined under the Hunting Areas and Zones Regulation (220/86) of The Wildlife Act (CCSM c. W130). Game Hunting Areas are used to support boundaries for species specific hunting seasons, harvest allocations, bag limits, and associated regulations. Refer to the Hunting Areas and Zones Regulation for GHA boundary descriptions.
Forest Miscellaneous Damage Event
Miscellaneous events are often the result of the cumulative impact of a combination of abiotic, insect and disease agents or events. For example, Aspen decline where repeated infestations of Forest Tent Caterpillar, are combined with several seasons of prolonged drought. The Government of Ontario tracks forest damage events to help proactively manage the detrimental effects to our forests. We monitor the threat and spread of invasive forest pest insect species in Ontario. The data is also important to the Forest Management Planning process in calculating timber volume loss within affected areas. This product requires the use of geographic information system (GIS) software.
Limited Entry Hunting (LEH) Zones - Current Opportunities Polygon
Current Limited Entry Hunting (LEH) Zones polygons are hunting opportunities created via a lottery, and the details are found in the LEH Synopsis. Participation in the LEH draw is available to any resident of BC who legally possesses a BC Resident Hunter Number. The purpose of Limited Entry Hunting is to achieve wildlife management objectives without resorting to such measures as shortening seasons or completely closing areas. It is only introduced where it has become necessary to limit the number of hunters, limit the number of animals that may be taken, or limit the harvest to a certain class of animal. The Zones are valid during the LEH hunting season, and changes are made effective July 1st of each yearly. Some zones change frequently, some change rarely.
