Temporary Protection Orders (TPOs) are ministerial orders that can be implemented to curtail water users during times of water scarcity to protect streamflow availability fish populations and the aquatic ecosystem. TPOs were implemented under Section 9 of the Fish Protection Act prior to 2016, but are now implemented under Section 86, 87 and 88 of the Water Sustainability Act. This dataset is a compilation of data hosted on TPOs to date across British Columbia and is maintained by the Watershed Stewardship and Security Branch within the Ministry of Water, Lands and Resource Stewardship. The purpose of the dataset is to communicate to water users when and where TPOs are/were in effect at the watershed scale. For specific details on which water users are affected by a TPO, please refer to the official Ministerial Order document referenced in the dataset.

The purpose of this layer is to provide search criteria for Manitoba legal descriptions.This feature layer is comprised of point locations that represent the centre of the bounds of the corresponding legal parcel. The types of legal descriptions include quarter sections (D.L.S.), river lots, parish lots, wood lots, outer two mile lots, and settlement lots. The point may not fall exactly on the centre of the legal parcel of land. This feature layer is meant as a search tool to locate the general location of the given legal description and it may not be exact. The points were initially derived from a variety of sources. Most of the points came from the Southern and Northern Grid of DLS section boundaries created by Sustainable Development. Fields included (Alias (Field Name): Field Description) OBJECTID (OBJECTID_1): Sequential unique whole numbers that area automatically generated Informal Legal Description (LEGAL_DESC): The informal legal description (No leading zeros on numbers). Formal Legal Description (LEGAL_DESC0): The formal legal description (Leading zeros on numbers). Type (TYPE): The type of legal division ('Quarter' = Quarter section, 'RL' = River lot, 'Lot' = Township lot, 'OT' = Outer two mile lot, 'PL' = Parish lot, 'SL' = Settlement lot, 'WL' = Wood lot). Quarter (QUARTER): Which DLS quarter section the point is referencing (NE, NW, SE or SW meaning respectfully North-east, North-west, South-east or South-west) Section (SECTION): The DLS section the point is referencing (1-36). Township (TOWNSHIP): The DLS township the point is referencing. Range (RANGE): The DLS range the point is referencing. Lot No. (LOT_NO): The lot number of the corresponding river, settlement, township, outer two mile or parish lot. Meridian (MERIDIAN): The meridian of the section (East 1, East 2 or West 1). Parish Name (PARISH_NAME): The name of the parish that the lot belongs to. Range Addition (RANGEADD): The added text for specific range values (if applicable).

This feature class represents Manitoba's Forest Management Unit (FMU) boundaries.Forest Management Units (FMU's) define a forested area with common forest conditions that are managed in a similar manner. Forest Sections are comprised of FMU's. Forest inventories within Forest Management Units are analysed to determine allowable harvest limits of softwood and hardwood tree species within each Forest Management Unit. Version 3: The southern portion of FMU 67 within the Highrock Forest Section has been adjusted to align with base features captured in 2009. Additionally, an 11 hectare portion of the Saskatchewan River Forest Section (FMU 59) has been added to the Highrock Forest Section. Version 4: The northern portion of FMU 68 along the Rail Haul within the Highrock Forest Section has been adjust so that the boundary falls within water only. Additionally, version 4 splits the 'White Zone' forest section (FMU 76) by ecozones, creating FMU 76 (Taiga Shield), FMU 77 (Southern Arctic), FMU 78 (Hudson Plain) and FMU 79 (Boreal Shield). The Provincial Parks Act provides for designation of lands to be managed under the Act that are not established as parks/protected areas.
