Alberta Designated and Provincial Trails
This dataset contains trails designated as Provincial Trails (Designation = 'Designated and Provincial'). Provincial Trails are established under the Public Lands Act through Ministerial Order. Available attributes are limited and include trail name, legislation, and designation information. This dataset is intended for mapping, analysis, and reference purposes. Note: Trail name information has not been fully validated and should not be considered authoritative. Users should verify trail names and other attribute information through authoritative sources where required.

Most of these trails are groomed by Manitoba Parks staff throughout the season. This layer is used in the interactive map Manitoba Parks - Winter Activity Trails Map and the web app Manitoba Parks - Winter Trails and Recreation Areas. These include watercraft access points, interpretative kiosks, trail heads, picnic areas, primitive toilets, and ecological features like snake dens.
