The Ecological Land Mass (ELM) classification was established through the 2020 National Interest Land Mass (NILM) Update. ELM lands describe ecological corridors that have inherent natural values and that protect Species at Risk (SAR) and their habitats. The classification identifies lands to protect in perpetuity through planning and partnership efforts. ELM was derived from two separate analyses - the Ontario side from the AECOM natural linkages analysis (2012) and the Quebec side from Del Degan, Masse (DDM) ecological corridors analysis (2012). Adjustments were made as appropriate.

During negotiations of the Umbrella Final Agreement, Kluane First Nation (KFN) and White River First Nation (WRFN) began negotiations together under one organization, the Kluane Tribal Council, which submitted one map of a traditional territory (Boundary) on behalf of both KFN and WRFN. Attempts were made to reach agreement with KFN and WRFN on how the map should be divided between both groups. As a result, a “KFN Core Area”, “WRFN Core Area” and the “KFN-WRFN Core Areas” map was incorporated into the KFN Final Agreement.These regions are defined in Section 2 as Specific Provisions: Specific Provision"KFN Core Area" means the area identified as Kluane First Nation Core Area on Map Sheet "KFN-WRFN Core Areas", Appendix B – Maps, which forms a separate volume to this Agreement. Specific Provision "WRFN Core Area" means the area identified as White River First Nation Core Area on Map Sheet "KFN-WRFN Core Areas", Appendix B – Maps, which forms a separate volume to this Agreement. KFN signed its Final Agreement, obtaining Treaty Rights, in 2003. A licence grants permission to do something which without the licence would not be allowable. Land Management Branch licences typically permit the construction and maintenance of power, telephone, water or sewer utilities on Commissioner's land. This map depicts the metamorphic facies for the Province of Saskatchewan, Canada.This map depicts the metamorphic facies for the province of Saskatchewan. The Precambrian Shield of Northern Saskatchewan has a complex metamorphic history with as many as six distinct thermotectonic events affecting various regions. Several of these result from major periods of crustal thickening attributed to orogenies, whereas others represent separate pulses of unknown origin. As might be expected, it is the most recent of these that are the most extensively preserves and that can be documented most reliably. They are therefore identical and share the same refresh schedule.

Surveyed Borders are an Administrative Land Object that represents the spatial limits of a jurisdiction that is created and managed as a separate entity within the ICM database. In the original ICM dataset from NRCAN, this feature class is called Administrative Boundaries. Administrative Boundaries are available for the Yukon Territory, Northwest Territories and Nunavut and may include International, Provincial and Territorial boundaries. This cadastral framework provides a parcel base of properly structured vector data designed and suited for Geographical Information System (GIS) application and can be used for land management purposes. This data set is not be used for defining boundaries.
