This number can be ignored.  Case ID: The Case ID is the ministry’s file number – a unique identifier. It is NOT the date the site became impacted.  Status – The stages of management for an environmentally impacted site.   Notification: The ministry has received notification that pollutants have been discovered at the site.  The concentration of this pollutant exceeds the threshold outlined in the Saskatchewan Environmental Code and must be reported. The pollutants may cause an adverse effect to the environment or human health. The ministry has been made aware of this and has determined that the site is an environmentally impacted site. Assessment: The site is currently undergoing, or has recently completed, analysis to determine the cause, nature or extent of potential or existing adverse effect (e.g. a Phase 2 Environmental Site Assessment). Corrective Action Plan: The site is currently undergoing, or has recently completed, activity that aims to prevent, minimize, mitigate, remedy or reclaim adverse effects (e.g. removal of impacts by excavation). Closure: This is a historical status term for environmentally impacted sites that is no longer used. The Notice of Site Condition status replaces the former status of Closure. It indicates that corrective actions have been completed at the site, endpoints have been achieved and an updated environmental status of the site has been provided to the ministry. However, no application has been made for a Notice of Site Condition certificate.  Notice of Site Condition: The ministry is satisfied that an acceptable risk level exists for the area of the site addressed in the corrective action plan. Confirmed substance: The substances of concern at the site. Examples that may cause an adverse effect are petroleum hydrocarbons, toxic metals, air pollutants, acids and solvents.

The wildlife values area and site datasets represent the consolidation of 13 wildlife data classes collected by the Ministry of Natural Resources. The data estimates locations used by wildlife for various reasons, including: * breeding * calving and fawning * denning * feeding * staging * nesting * wintering * general habitat areas * nurseries * travel corridors Locations are represented as points (site) or polygons (area) and may be related to a specific species or described more generally. Wildlife values data is most often used to support policy and legislation associated with the Crown Forest Sustainability Act. The data may also be used to inform a wide range of resource management activities and decisions. There are additional sensitive features related to provincially tracked species and species at risk that are not available as part of the open data package. Site Regions and Site Districts of Ontario represent an early Ecological Land Classification (ELC) system originally developed by Angus Hills. This dataset was revised by the ELC Working Group in 2000 to better reflect new information and new technology. The Site Regions of Ontario was used for descriptive, planning, and resource management purposes. This upper level in its hierarchy was most useful for provincial and regional roll-ups of data and for strategic planning. Site Districts of Ontario is a more detailed lower (finer-scale) level of the hierarchy, and was more useful for detailed resource management prescriptions and other local and site planning applications. This layer is designed to be used as a spatial selection tool and as a background layer suitable for overlay and or intersection with numerous scales or current hydrologic data.

This dataset represents the locations of licenced and permitted pits and quarries regulated by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry under the Aggregate Resources Act, R.S.O. 1990. Aggregate site data has been divided into active and inactive sites. Active sites may be further subdivided into partial surrenders. In partial surrenders, defined areas of a site are inactive while the rest of the site remains active. Multi-Agency Ground Plot (MAGPlot) database (DB) is a pan-Canadian forest ground-plot data repository. The database synthesize forest ground plot data from various agencies, including the National Forest Inventory (NFI) and 12 Canadian jurisdictions: Alberta (AB), British Columbia (BC), Manitoba (MB), New Brunswick (NB), Newfoundland and Labrador (NL), Nova Scotia (NS), Northwest Territories (NT), Ontario (ON), Prince Edward Island (PE), Quebec (QC), Saskatchewan (SK), and Yukon Territory (YT), contributed in their original format. These datasets underwent data cleaning and quality assessment using the set of rules and standards set by the contributors and associated documentations, and were standardized, harmonized, and integrated into a single, centralized, and analysis-ready database. The primary objective of the MAGPlot project is to collate and harmonize forest ground plot data and to present the data in a findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable (FAIR) format for pan-Canadian forest research. The current version includes both historical and contemporary forest ground plot data provided by data contributors. The standardized and harmonized dataset includes eight data tables (five site related and three tree measurement tables) in a relational database schema. Site-related tables contain information on geographical locations, treatments (e.g. stand tending, regeneration, and cutting), and disturbances caused by abiotic factors (e.g., weather, wildfires) or biotic factors (e.g., disease, insects, animals). Tree-related tables, on the other hand, focus on measured tree attributes, including biophysical and growth parameters (e.g., DBH, height, crown class), species, status, stem conditions (e.g., broken or dead tops), and health conditions. While most contributors provided large and small tree plot measurements, only NFI, AB, MB, and SK contributed datasets reported at regeneration plot level (e.g., stem count, regeneration species). Future versions are expected to include updated and/or new measurement records as well as additional tables and measured and compiled (e.g., tree volume and biomass) attributes.
