Map of Forest Management in Canada
Forests cover large areas of Canada but only some of these forests are actively managed. The Map of Forest Management in Canada provides a generalized classification of forest management in Canada, including: protected areas, Treaty/Settlement Lands (including Treaty Lands identified in Final Agreements, Land Claim Agreements and Settlements), Indian Reserves, other federal reserves (including military training areas), provincial and territorial reserves and restricted use areas, private lands, short- and long-term Crown forest tenure areas and areas with no current Crown timber dispositions. The Managed Forest Map of Canada dataset provides a wall-to-wall classification of lands in Canada. It does not differentiate areas of forest from non-forest. The Managed Forest Map of Canada differs from maps defining the area designated as “managed forest” for greenhouse gas inventory reporting purposes and does not replace those maps. Instead, the Managed Forest Map of Canada shows areas that are currently managed, as of June 2017, and provides generalized management type classification for those areas. Collaborating agencies plan to update the dataset periodically as needed, and remain open to receiving advice from experts concerning refinement priorities for future versions.

Short-Term Tenure areas are lands having shorter-term volume- or area-based tenure. Tenure arrangements can be overlapping. Lands with both long- and short-term tenures are classified as Long-Term Tenure (Code 11). TANTALIS - Crown Tenures
Current Land Act tenures and applications for such tenures: a subset of crown land dispositions that are issued for specific purposes and periods of time under an agreement between an individual or company and the provincial government for an interest in crown land. Conveyances of ownership are not included. For example Leases, Licenses and Reserves are included, but Crown Grants and Acquisitions are not. Historical records (e.g. expired, replaced, or completed) are not included in this view.
Forecasted Basin-Average Accumulated Precipitation (HRDPS - 24 & 48 hrs)
This polygon layer shows sub-basin averages of HRDPS (High Resolution Deterministic Prediction System) precipitation. Ideal for capturing short-range (0–48h) high-resolution precipitation forecasts aggregated at the watershed scale. The HRDPS is a 2.5 km resolution model used for short-range, convection-permitting forecasts in Canada. This layer takes HRDPS precipitation totals and aggregates them by each sub-basin polygon, revealing how localized rain or snow could impact individual watersheds. Useful for near-term flood or flash-flood risk, as well as local water management during intense weather.
Court of King's Bench Judicial Districts
The data in this information product illustrates the boundaries of Alberta's 11 Court of King's Bench Judicial Districts. The boundaries of the Judicial Districts are defined by the Judicial Districts Regulation, Alberta Regulation 117/2010. The Judicial Districts used in this information product were filed in July 14, 2010 and came into effect on November 1, 2010.

HRDPS Forecasted Accumulated Precipitation 24 hrs view
This polygon layer showcases ultra-fine (2.5 km) short-range precipitation forecasts from the High Resolution Deterministic Prediction System (HRDPS), a convection-permitting model by Environment and Climate Change Canada. It identifies local-scale rainfall or snowfall patterns up to 48 hours, supporting urban flood forecasting, severe weather response, and detailed water resource planning.Convection-Permitting: The HRDPS can explicitly resolve thunderstorms and other small-scale weather events by running at ~2.5 km. Short-Range Focus: Typically provides forecasts out to 36–48 hours, updated several times daily. Local Impact: Valuable for pinpointing high-impact precipitation in complex terrain or urban environments, aiding emergency managers and hydrologists in short-lead-time decisions. Nested Model: Receives lateral boundary conditions from RDPS, maintaining consistency with regional forecasts while refining detail in local domains.
