Morrison Creek Lamprey Survey Data
Morrison Creek lamprey, Lampetra richardsoni variety marifuga are found only in Morrison Creek in Courtenay, BC. In 1995, this variety was designated Endangered by COSEWIC and is currently protected under the Species at Risk Act (SARA). For the years, 2011-2013 and 2015-2017, efforts were made to live trap Morrison Creek lamprey on and around spawning time. In 2014, DFO worked collaboratively with Hancock Forestry Management to assess the extent of the distribution of lamprey within the headwaters of Morrison creek on the land owned by the company. This dataset includes data for 2011 to 2017 inclusive.
Principal Mineral Areas, Producing Mines, and Oil and Gas Fields (900A)
This dataset is produced and published annually by Natural Resources Canada. It contains a variety of statistics on Canada’s mineral production, and provides the geographic locations of significant metallic, nonmetallic and coal mines, oil sands mines, selected metallurgical works, helium facilities, and oil and gas fields for the provinces and territories of Canada.Related product:- **[Top 100 Exploration Projects](https://open.canada.ca/data/en/dataset/b64179f3-ea0f-4abb-9cc5-85432fc958a0)**
New Brunswick Imagery
Digital orthorectified imagery acquired at a variety of image resolutions, available in New Brunswick Stereographic Double Projection (NBSDP).
Folds - 250k
The Yukon Territory is underlain by a great variety of rock types ranging in age from Early Proterozoic to Recent and representing diverse environments including epicratonic basins, subsiding shelves, foreland basins, island arcs and deep ocean basins. Episodes of compressional and extensional deformation, transcurrent faulting, metamorphism and plutonism further complicate the map pattern. This complex geological record has been described in terms of the interactions of several terranes (large parts of the earth's crust which preserve a common geological record) with each other and with the margin of ancestral North America.Distributed from [GeoYukon](https://yukon.ca/geoyukon) by the [Government of Yukon](https://yukon.ca/maps) . Geophysics First Vertical Derivatives - 50m
The Yukon is underlain by a great variety of rock types ranging in age from Early Proterozoic to Recent. The various rock types are characterized by different magnetic intensity and this map show those variations at the regional scale, with highly magnetic rocks represented by warm colours and non-magnetic rocks shown in cool colours. The First Vertical Derivative magnetic map highlights the magnetic intensity of near-surface features in the Earth's crust. This magnetic compilation was extracted from the compilation of Oneschuk et al. (2019). The data was gridded at 50 m.Magnetic data for Yukon can be obtained from: [http://gdrdap.agg.nrcan.gc.ca/](http://gdrdap.agg.nrcan.gc.ca/)Distributed from [GeoYukon](https://yukon.ca/geoyukon) by the [Government of Yukon](https://yukon.ca/maps) . The various rock types are characterized by different magnetic intensity and this map shows those variations at the regional scale, with highly magnetic rocks represented by warm colours and non-magnetic rocks shown in cool colours. The Residual Total Field magnetic map shows a measure of the total magnetic intensity in the Earth's crust. This magnetic compilation was extracted from the compilation of Oneschuk et al. (2019). Soil survey
Get consolidated soil data mapped on a county basis in a digitally stitched and standardized product. This soil survey data was mapped by a number of soil surveyors from the 1920s to the 1990s. The product incorporates soil information from a variety of map scales. The project has brought the individual county or regional municipality surveys together to reveal inconsistencies in soil data across county boundaries. The soil complex database contains other descriptive information including: * slope class * Canada Land Inventory (CLI) ranking * stoniness * drainage class * texture
