The Wildlife Management Unit (WMU) dataset is comprised of all the polygons that represent the Wildlife Management Units in Alberta. WMU is an area of wildlife managed under Wildlife Act, Alberta Regulation 143/79.

The Province is divided into nine administrative regions, having a total of 225 wildlife management units (WMU) for the purpose of efficient game management.

The HealthLink BC Mental Health and Substance Use (MHSU) data set includes the following: Programs that offer early intervention, transitional care or other services that supplement and facilitate primary and adjunctive therapies; which offer community mental health education programs; or which link people who are in need of treatment with appropriate providers. Programs that provide preventive, diagnostic and treatment services in a variety of community and hospital-based settings to help people achieve, maintain and enhance a state of emotional well-being, personal empowerment and the skills to cope with everyday demands without excessive stress or reliance on alcohol or other drugs. Treatment may include emotional support, introspection and problem-solving assistance using a variety of modalities and approaches, and medication, as needed, for individuals who have a substance use disorder involving alcohol and/or other drugs or for people who range from experiencing difficult life transitions or problems in coping with daily living to those with severe, chronic mental illnesses that seriously impact their lives. Multidisciplinary programs, often offered on an inpatient basis with post-discharge outpatient therapy, that provide comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services for individuals who have anorexia nervosa, binge-eating disorder, bulimia or a related eating disorder. Treatment depends on the specific type of eating disorder involved but typically involves psychotherapy, nutrition education, family counseling, medication and hospitalization, if required, to stabilize the patient's health. An Ungulate Winter Range (UWR) is defined as an area that contains habitat that is necessary to meet the winter habitat requirements of an ungulate species. UWRs are based on current understanding of ungulate habitat requirements in winter, as interpreted by FLNR regional staff from current scientific and management literature, local knowledge, and other expertise from the region. UWRs within this set of data are currently in the review and consultation stage of the area designation process. As UWRs are designated they will be moved into the [Approved Ungulate Winter Range](http://catalogue.data.gov.bc.ca/dataset/ungulate-winter-range) dataset.

This new data class brings over data from the Waste Management Information System (WMIS), which is a Microsoft Access based database used by the Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) to track Waste Management Sites. This was married with the spatial data from Waste Disposal Sites where possible Different Waste Disposal Site types collected by the Ministry of Natural Resources include: * Compost Disposal * Hazardous Waste Disposal * Household Waste Disposal * Industrial Waste Disposal * Septic Drying Bed * Septic Field * Sewage Disposal * Tile Bed * Transfer Station This product requires the use of geographic information system (GIS) software.

This data breaks down spring, fall and total harvest numbers by: * wildlife management unit (WMU) * calendar year Harvest numbers are based on mandatory reports received from successful turkey licence holders. These are absolute numbers and are not statistically projected as with the bear, deer, and moose hunting activity and harvest estimates. Missing values represent no open season.

In addition to the values presented, from 2006-2017, an estimated annual average of approximately 160 calf moose were harvested across the province by approximately 6,400 active resident hunters who did not apply for an adult validation tag.
