Minerals and Quaternary Drillhole Compilation
Compilation of drillholes for mineral exploration and Quaternary studies in the Province of Saskatchewan, Canada. This dataset is compilation of uranium drillholes prior to 2007, and since that time has expanded to include metallic and industrial mineral exploration drillholes and surficial sedimentology drillholes. This is an ongoing compilation whereby recent drillholes that become publically available are added. In addition, improvements are frequently made to more historic drillholes with spurious information. The dataset is not an exhaustive list of drillholes in Saskatchewan. **Please Note – All published Saskatchewan Geological Survey datasets, including those available through the Saskatchewan Mining and Petroleum GeoAtlas, are sourced from the Enterprise GIS Data Warehouse. They are therefore identical and share the same refresh schedule.
Lithology of Ground Water Wells
Point features showing the locations of groundwater wells which have lithology recorded. Each record in the dataset represents a lithology interval. Because each water well often has multiple lithology layers recorded, there will often be multiple points overlapped at each well location. For the locations of all water wells in BC (without lithology), please see: https://catalogue.data.gov.bc.ca/dataset/e4731a85-ffca-4112-8caf-cb0a96905778 > NOTE: When choosing to download this GIS dataset below, there can be errors when trying to download the entire province. The large file size is a problem for the default file format (shapefile). > If you need to download the entire province, please choose a different file format (e.g. ESRI File Geodatabase). > If you need to download in shapefile format, please use an area of interest (AOI).
Geotechnical borehole point
Geotechnical data comes from investigations performed by geotechnical engineers to obtain information on the physical properties of soil and rock underlying a site for proposed structures. The investigations include surface exploration and subsurface exploration of a site. In addition, site investigations will often include subsurface sampling and laboratory testing of the soil samples retrieved. The digging of test pits and trenching may also be used to learn about soil conditions at depth. Geotechnical data is relevant to our permafrost database as it contains logs of ice encountered at various depths.Yukon Geological Survey has been compiling geotechnical data from various organizations and branches. Gravel Pits - 25k
This dataset includes maintenance, quarries, stockpile, borrow , and gravel pits used by Transportation Division. Other pits and quarries not used by Transportation Division are also included. Pit features where the source is "records" may have a poor position accuracy.Distributed from [GeoYukon](https://yukon.ca/geoyukon) by the [Government of Yukon](https://yukon.ca/maps) . Spot Height
This dataset contain the 1:20 000 scale spot height elevation text converted from the Provincial Digital Base Mapping Project. Currently, no spot height information exists for Banff, Jasper and Wood Buffalo National Parks and also for the extreme north east portion of the province. See the Completeness Report in this metadata record for details regarding coverage.
