Level curves
Level curves with an equidistance of 1 m derived from a lidar survey conducted in 2015.attributes:ID - Unique identifierSubtype - Master (1) or secondary (2) level curve SCORE - Elevation value (m) The product High Resolution Digital Elevation Model (MNEHR) is available on the Open Government website.**This third party metadata element was translated using an automated translation tool (Amazon Translate).**
Public health unit boundaries
This geospatial dataset contains the geographic boundaries of the 34 Public Health Units (PHUs) in Ontario, based on Statistics Canada’s Health Region Boundary File (2018). A PHU is the area of jurisdiction of a board of health. PHUs in Ontario are defined in Regulation 553 (Revised Regulations of Ontario), pursuant to Health Protection and Promotion Act R.S.O. 1990, Amended to O. Reg. 64/05.
DND Air Weapons Range
The DND Air Weapons Range dataset is comprised of all the polygons that represent the Air Weapons Range established by the Department of National Defence, Government of Canada, within the Province of Alberta. Air Weapons Range is the area used as a practice and firing range with restricted access provisions and which is owned and operated by the Department of National Defence, Government of Canada.
Spot Height
A spot height identifies the elevation (z value) above sea level of natural and man-made geographic features. It includes: * spot heights * vertical control points * water level/lake elevations This product requires the use of geographic information system (GIS) software.
Road structures
Main road structures such as bridges and interchangers.attributes:ID - Unique identifierSubtype - Item subtypeName - Name of the road structure**This third party metadata element was translated using an automated translation tool (Amazon Translate).**
Bedrock Geological Units, Groundwater Geoscience Program
The bedrock geologic units designate units of the same types of rock which composed the solid rock exposed at ground surface (as outcrop) or which underlies unconsolidated surficial sediments. This dataset represents a general description of the stratigraphy and geology, including geologic unit thickness, morphology, age and rank. It features a list of the geologic unit names and types of rock (lithology) in the hydrogeological unit, from a controlled vocabulary. While the preferred format to deliver this data is by using a shapefile and its linked attributes, this dataset can be delivered also by providing link to external data which should have at least the same properties or also by joining a georeferenced image of the map.
DND Military Base
The DND Military Base dataset is comprised of all the polygons that represent the Military Bases established for the Department of National Defence, Government of Canada, within the Province of Alberta. A Military Base is an area owned by the Department of National Defence, Government of Canada where various military activities occur.
Metallic and Industrial Minerals Agreements
Metallic and Industrial Minerals Agreement feature class contains provincial extent polygon features representing Metallic and Industrial Minerals applications, agreements, leases, and licences, with varying term dates and conditions. These applications and subsequent agreements give the holder the right to explore Metallic and Industrial Minerals.
Index Contour Elevation
This dataset contain the 1:20,000 scale contour elevation text converted from the Provincial Digital Base Mapping Project. These contours require the use of elevation text to properly interpret the elevation value of a specific contour. There are two major types of contours, index contours and intermediate contours. Index contours are identified every 5th contour line. For Alberta, the index contour intervals occur every 50 metres in relatively flat terrain and every 100 metres in mountainous terrain. Intermediate contours are contour lines that occur between the index contours. For Alberta, the intermediate contour intervals are every 10 metres in relatively flat terrain and every 20 metres in mountainous terrain. Where elevation change is sudden, intermediate contours may be deleted and only index contours are shown. The elevation text is associated with the index contours. Currently, no contour information exists for Banff, Jasper and Wood Buffalo National Parks and also for the extreme north east portion of the province. See the Completeness Report in this metadata record for details regarding coverage.
