Ambulance meeting point
This product provides information on the geographic position of ambulance meeting point signs in the territory of Bas-Saint-Laurent as well as that of Gaspésie—Îles-de-la-Madeleine.The project of ambulance meeting points in the public forest was launched in the early 2000s. This project made it possible to establish a unique network bringing together ambulance meeting points available for all organizations using the forest environment, such as emergency action plan coordinators for forest workers, the Emergency Call Center for Eastern Quebec Regions (CAUREQ) and first responders from emergency services. The South-East Forest Management Directorate centralized the data from these points a few years after the start of the project. This centralization was done with the help of the Regional Operations Sector (SOR) and Rexforêt. It allowed the integration and standardization of data from the Bas-Saint-Laurent and Gaspésie-Îles-de-la-Madeleine regions. Traffic signs have been installed on the territory of both regions to indicate the meeting points for paramedics.This vector layer is official and updated annually. It is essential for the safety of forest workers that this data be easily accessible, up to date and uniform for the Lower Laurentian and Gaspesian territories.N.B: A file tracking changes to ambulance meeting points can be sent on request if necessary.**This third party metadata element was translated using an automated translation tool (Amazon Translate).**

Census division 2016
Group of neighbouring municipalities joined together for the purposes of regional planning and managing common services (such as police or ambulance services). These groupings are established under laws in effect in certain provinces of Canada. Census division (CD) is the general term for provincially legislated areas (such as county, municipalité régionale de comté and regional district) or their equivalents. In other provinces and the territories where laws do not provide for such areas, Statistics Canada defines equivalent areas for statistical reporting purposes in cooperation with these provinces and territories. Census divisions are intermediate geographic areas between the province/territory level and the municipality (census subdivision).Census divisions (CD) have been established in provincial law to facilitate regional planning, as well as the provision of services that can be more effectively delivered on a scale larger than a municipality. In Newfoundland and Labrador, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut, provincial or territorial law does not provide for these administrative geographic areas. Therefore, Statistics Canada, in cooperation with these provinces and territories, has created equivalent areas called CDs for the purpose of disseminating statistical data. In Yukon, the CD is equivalent to the entire territory.Next to provinces and territories, census divisions (CD) are the most stable administrative geographic areas, and are therefore often used in longitudinal analysis.

The Open Database of Healthcare Facilities (ODHF) is a collection of open data containing the names, types, and locations of health facilities across Canada. It is released under the Open Government License - Canada.The ODHF compiles open, publicly available, and directly-provided data on health facilities across Canada. Data sources include regional health authorities, provincial, territorial and municipal governments, and public health and professional healthcare bodies. This database aims to provide enhanced access to a harmonized listing of health facilities across Canada by making them available as open data. This database is a component of the Linkable Open Data Environment (LODE).
Manitoba Health Districts
RHA Districts are geographic areas that are used to define populations and catchment areas for the administration and delivery of health services. This file provides RHA district boundaries for cartographic and analytical purposes.Within Manitoba there are five Regional Health Authorities (or "RHAs") responsible for the delivery of health service in five specific areas of the province described as "health regions". (In practice, the terms "health region" and "RHA" are used interchangeably to describe these geographic areas.) In consultation with Manitoba Health, Healthy Living and Seniors, and with the Manitoba Centre for Health Policy, each of the RHAs has defined further subdivisions within each RHA . These sub-areas of each RHA generally correspond to areas of clustered population and/or service delivery. They are used to plan service delivery, and are also used to describe and analyze population health and health service use with more specificity than analysis at the RHA level could provide. Due to the size and the total population of Manitoba's RHAs, there are two levels of subdivided RHA geography which are used for analytical and planning purposes. The smallest subdivisions used for this purpose are RHA Districts. RHA Districts within an RHA are also grouped into larger sub-areas with the RHA called RHA Zones, within each RHA District within an RHA included in precisely one of these zone. This shapefile contains the boundaries of Manitoba's RHA districts.

Urban Service Area is a municipality type defined under the authority of the Municipal Government Act. The formation of an Urban Service Area can occur if there is a large unincorporated community within a Specialized Municipality that is recognized as an equivalent to a City by the Government of Alberta. It has a population, public utility services, and other characteristics.
