Canada Center for Mapping and Earth Observation (CCMEO)'s basemap is essential in supporting the Government of Canada’s priorities in areas such as open government, climate change mitigation, Indigenous reconciliation, emergency management, disaster preparedness and response, sustainable natural resource management, infrastructure planning, economy/labour and more. It reinforces CCMEO’s commitment to improving the accessibility, interoperability and integration of geospatial data across Canada. Canada Base Map Elevation (CBME) consists of a simple light hillshade for use as a background for mapping application. The Canada Atlas Lambert (EPSG:3978) is used and only covers the extents of Canada.

The Canada Basemap Transportation (CBMT) is a raster tile service that provides spatial reference context with an emphasis on transportation networks across Canada. It is designed especially for use as a background layer in a web mapping application or geographic information system (GIS). One of the spatial views of the BC WATERSHED ATLAS 50K, which is the digital basemap representation of the aquatic Man-made waterbodies, Wetlands and Double-line Rivers based on the 1:50,000 scale Canadian National Topographic Series of Maps.

This data set presents the basemap developed as part of the Montreal by Foot (MàP) project in a web tiled map service (_Web Tile Map Service_ WTMS). It is made available in order to allow citizens and partners of the City to create web mapping tools by offering a unique graphic charter, designed specifically to promote pedestrian travel.The Montréal à Pied project aims to improve orientation and pedestrian paths throughout Montreal. The selection and classification of places of interest prioritize pedestrian and local travel. This project includes a cartographic component intended to renew the graphic signature of the representation of the City of Montreal, on digital media and on urban furniture receiving maps of the City. Provinces and Territories Basemap - Canada Provinces basemap file created to generate boundary polygons for use in small scale, medium and large scales.Simple Grey Basemap - This basemap is only in simple grey and white to be used as a backdrop in applications or geomatics projects. Line features represent provincial and territorial boundaries, international boundaries, exclusive economic zones, arcs extending to the North Pole, state boundaries, Canadian, USA and foreign countries rivers. Polygon features representing waterbodies in Canada, USA and foreign countries.

This is a vector cached Base Map that is utilizing the most commonly used datasets that are publically available from the Government of the North West Territories and the Government of Canada. It has been rendered from 1:25,000,000 down to 1:1,000 scale
