Service to 9-1-1 emergency centers
- Service of administrative emergency call center agreements:This information layer alerts users to telephone respondents for emergency calls that have a 10-digit number. In fact, the “Serte Entente” layer indicates how cities/MRCs are served using a satellite phone to reach administrative emergency call centers, i.e. 9-1-1 emergency call centers that provide a 10-digit emergency telephone number for portions of their territory that do not have cellular coverage (and therefore, no 9-1-1 coverage).- 9-1-1 service (cellular coverage):This information layer alerts users about telephone respondents for 9-1-1 emergency calls. In fact, the “9-1-1 Service (cellular coverage)” layer indicates the cities/MRCs that are served using a cell phone to reach the 9-1-1 emergency center for portions of their territory that are within cellular coverage. Indeed, the layer clarifies the reality of service, since it is intersected by the combined Quebec cellular coverage of Rogers and Bell.Bell Mobile Coverage:Bell mobility 4G HSPA, LTE and 5G cellular coverage for the province of Quebec.Cellular coverage makes it possible to improve 9-1-1 service in Quebec by specifying the areas where cellular devices can be used.It is a layer of information that is restricted to distribution within the Ministry of Public Safety and to 9-1-1 emergency call centers.Rogers mobile coverage:Rogers Communications cellular coverage for the province of QuebecCellular coverage makes it possible to improve 9-1-1 service in Quebec by specifying the areas where cellular devices can be used.It is a layer of information that is restricted to distribution within the Ministry of Public Safety and to 9-1-1 emergency call centers.**This third party metadata element was translated using an automated translation tool (Amazon Translate).**

Lake Ontario tagged Atlantic salmon
Get data on Lake Ontario tagged Atlantic salmon recaptures. This dataset represents tagged adult Atlantic salmon that were released and then recaptured by anglers. These fish were used as brood stock (breeding) in the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry’s fish culture program. All fish were tagged with a streamer tag near the dorsal fin. Each tag has a unique number and a phone number so anglers can call and let the ministry know about their catch. The data includes: * tagging date * recapture date * tag number/colour * location released * location recaptured * days since released * distance travelled
NG911 PSAP Boundary - Whitehorse
The PSAP (Public Safety Answering Point) Boundary layer defines the given 911 authority's geographic area for the primary providers of response services for the City of Whitehorse. The primary use for the PSAP Boundary is to route emergency requests. Each PSAP Boundary defines the geographic area of a PSAP that has primary responsibilities for an emergency request. This layer is used by the ECRF (Emergency Call Routing Function) to perform a geographic query to determine the PSAP to which an emergency request is routed.Data was modeled using the NENA NG9-1-1 GIS Data Template (NENA-REF-006. 2 -202 2 ).Distributed from [GeoYukon](https://yukon.ca/geoyukon) by the [Government of Yukon](https://yukon.ca/maps) . NG911 Fire Response Boundary - Whitehorse
The Fire Response Boundary layer defines the geographic area for the primary providers of response services. This layer is used by the ECRF (Emergency Call Routing Function) to perform a geographic query to determine which Emergency Service Providers are responsible for providing service to a location in the event a selective transfer is desired, to direct an Emergency Incident Data Document to a secondary PSAP (Public Safety Answering Point) for dispatch, or to display the responsible agencies at the PSAP. In addition, Emergency Services Boundaries are used by PSAPs to identify the appropriate entities / first responders to be dispatched.Data was modeled using the NENA NG9-1-1 GIS Data Template (NENA-REF-006. 2 -202 2 ).Distributed from [GeoYukon](https://yukon.ca/geoyukon) by the [Government of Yukon](https://yukon.ca/maps) . NG911 Provisioning Boundary - Whitehorse
The Provisioning Boundary layer defines the area of GIS data provisioning for the City of Whitehorse. This boundary must be agreed to by all adjoining data provisioning providers. When provisioning data for an ECRF (Emergency Call Routing Function) and LVF (Location Validation Function) the City of Whitehorse must only include GIS data for their geographic area of responsibility and must ensure the data includes coverage for the entire extent of that area.Data was modeled using the NENA NG9-1-1 GIS Data Template (NENA-REF-006. 2 -202 2 ).Distributed from [GeoYukon](https://yukon.ca/geoyukon) by the [Government of Yukon](https://yukon.ca/maps) . Priority Places for Species at Risk (Terrestrial)
As part of the Pan-Canadian approach to transforming Species at Risk conservation in Canada, a total of 11 Priority Places were affirmed by federal, provincial, and territorial governments in December 2018. One additional priority place was affirmed in 2024. The places selected have significant biodiversity, concentrations of species at risk, and opportunities to advance conservation efforts. In each Priority Place, the federal and provincial or territorial governments are working with Indigenous Peoples, partners, and stakeholders to develop conservation action implementation plans. Using a defined planning approach (such as the Open Standards for the Practice of Conservation), these implementation plans identify key actions to address the greatest threats to species. Conservation implementation plans provide the foundation for collaborative action on the ground. The federal government, in collaboration with the provinces and territories, has agreed to the implementation of the Pan-Canadian Approach to Transforming Species at Risk Conservation in Canada. This new approach shifts from a single-species approach to conservation to one that focuses on multiple species and ecosystems. This enables conservation partners to work together to achieve better outcomes for Species at Risk. These 12 Priority Places are complemented by a suite of Community-Nominated Priority Places (CNPP), identified through an open call for applications. To learn more about the Priority Places initiative and the work undertaken by our partners to recover Species at Risk within these Priority Places, please visit our interactive website https://environmental-maps.canada.ca/CWS_Storylines/index-ca-en.html#/en/priority_places-lieux_prioritaires
Recreational Shark Fishing Tournament Landings Data and Canadian Dart Tag Database
These data consist of the Recreational Shark Fishing Tournament landings database (1993-2022 inclusive) and the Canadian Dart tag database (2006 onwards; updated annually). Both were collected by the Maritimes Science Division of Fisheries and Oceans Canada. The landings records include biological sampling from 4266 animals and the dart tag records include 4138 tagging and 97 recapture events to date. Potential users should consult Bowlby et al. (2022) for the description, management history, and technical details pertaining to these data. Information is focused on Blue Sharks because they were the primary species captured at recreational tournaments.Cite this data as: Bowlby, H., Joyce, W.
