First Nation Settlement Lands
Surveyed Cadastral Framework for Yukon First Nations Settlement Lands and Tetlit Gwich'in Yukon Lands (settlement like) of the First Nations that have ratified their agreements. Settlement land is land identified in a First Nation's land claim agreement as settlement land of the first nation. There are three types of Settlement Land that a Yukon First Nation can own and manage: Category A: ownership of surface and subsurface; Category B: ownership of the surface only; Fee Simple (FS): private ownership. Note: Some surveys for Settlement Lands identified in their agreement are not yet complete therefore there may be parcels identified with the same land claim selection ID. Each Yukon First Nation has one Category A and Category B parcel identified as their adjustment boundary to adjust any changes in land quantum – as described in chapter 15.6. in each Yukon First Nations’ Final Agreement.Distributed from [GeoYukon](https://yukon.ca/geoyukon) by the [Government of Yukon](https://yukon.ca/maps). Development of a coastal species characterization approach using environmental DNA (eDNA) using the marker COI
Species characterization by environmental DNA (eDNA) is a method that allows the use of DNA released into the environment by organisms from various sources (secretions, faeces, gametes, tissues, etc.). It is a complementary tool to standard sampling methods for the identification of biodiversity. This project provides a list of invertebrates species whose DNA has been detected in water samples collected at 2018 using the marker COI.The surveys were carried out in the summer of 2018 from August 11 to 14, between Forestville and Godbout (Haute-Côte-Nord). Sampling was carried out between 9-52 meters depth in 40 stations with one sample par station. Two liters of water were filtered through a 1.2 µm fiberglass filter. DNA extractions were performed with the DNeasy Blood and Tissue extraction kit (Qiagen). Negative field, extraction and PCR controls were added at the different stages of the protocol. Libraries at the COI locus were prepared by Genome Quebec and sequenced on an Illumina MiSeq PE250 system. The bioinformatics analysis of the sequences obtained was carried out using an in-house analysis pipeline as reported in Bourret et al. 2022. A first step made it possible to obtain a molecular operational taxonomic unit table (MOTU) using the cutadapt software for the removal of the adapters and the DADA2 R package for the filtration, fusion, chimera removal and data compilation. The MOTUs table was subsequently corrected by taking into account the negative controls, where the number of observations in the latter was removed from the linked samples. Singleton MOTUs have also been removed. Finally, the taxonomic assignments were carried out on the MOTUs using the IDTAXA classifier (present in the DECIPHIER R package) using a training set trained on the COI reference bank for Golf St-Laurent (GSL-rl v1.0, https://github.com/GenomicsMLI-DFO/MLI_GSL-rl) and a threshold of 40. Detections with an “Unreliable due to gaps” category were reported at the genus level only. The file provided includes generic activity information, including site, station name, date, marker type, assignment types used for taxa identification, and a list of taxa or species. The list of taxa has been verified by a biodiversity expert from the Maurice-Lamontagne Institute. This project was funded by Fisheries and Oceans Canada's Coastal Environmental Baseline Data Program under the Oceans Protection Plan. This initiative aims to acquire baseline environmental data that contributes to the characterization of significant coastal areas and supports evidence-based assessments and management decisions to preserve marine ecosystems.Data are also available on SLGO platform : https://doi.org/10.26071/ogsl-cd4c205b-f63b
Census of Agriculture: Data Linked to Geographic Boundaries
These files from Statistics Canada present Census of Agriculture data allocated by standard census geographic polygons: Provinces and Territories (PR), Census Agricultural Regions (CAR), Census Divisions (CD) and Census Consolidated Subdivisions (CCS). Five datasets are provided:1. Agricultural operation characteristics: includes information on farm type, operating arrangements, paid agricultural work and financial characteristics of the agricultural operation.2. Land tenure and management practices: includes information on land use, land tenure, agricultural practices, land inputs, technologies used on the operation and the renewable energy production on the operation.3. Crops: includes information on hay and field crops, vegetables (excluding greenhouse vegetables), fruits, berries, nuts, greenhouse productions and other crops.4. Livestock, poultry and bees: includes information on livestock, poultry and bees.5. Characteristics of farm operators: includes information on age, sex and the hours of works of farm operators.Note: For all the datasets, confidential values have been assigned a value of -1.Correction notice: On January 18, 2023, selected estimates have been corrected for selected variables in the following 2021 Census of Agriculture domains: Direct sales of agricultural products to consumers (Agricultural operations category), Succession plan for the agricultural operation (Agricultural operators category), and Renewable energy production (Use, tenure and practices category).
Crown Land Pricing Zones - Communication Sites
Rent calculation for the use of Crown land for communication sites purposes is based on zonal rates per site per user category. There are currently 3 zones covering the province. The dataset outlines the boundaries for these zones.
Multi Year Investment Strategy
This is the 5 year investment plan for Manitoba Highway and Infrastructure Capital Projects. This dataset will show all the proposed infrastructure projects for the next 5 years. This Feature layer is similar to the "Manitoba Capital Plans Project Status" and will be updated once a year. This dataset contains points showing the locations of the capital projects such as asphalt surface treatment, grading, bituminous rehabilitation, concrete reconstruction, culvert jacking, intersection improvement, structures improvement, traffic signal improvements, and traffic safety improvements. This dataset was created by digitizing high-resolution imagery of Manitoba road network, bridge sites, and culvert locations. The details of the capital projects are available as attributes of the dataset.Fields included (Alias (Field Name): Field description.)Hwy (Hwy): The highway number where the project is located. Location Description (Location_Description): A detailed description of the project location. Project Distance in km (km): The physical length of the project Project Type (Project_Type): A particular category assigned to the project based on the nature of work. Investment Category : (Investment_Category): Category of future investment for the project. (Ex: Renewal, Economic Development, Connectivity and Innovation, Climate Resiliency) Municipality Name (MUNI_NAME): The name of the municipality where the project is located. Department Program (Department_Program): The name of the MI department responsible for the project. This dataset is used in Manitoba Infrastructure Projects an interactive map that shows Manitoba infrastructure's new, approved, and continuing capital project locations.
