The Common Attribute Schema for Forest Resource Inventories (CASFRI) is a Canadian forest resource inventory data repository. Forest resource inventory datasets in CASFRI are harmonized to a common data model so that data collected by different agencies following different standards can be used together. Participating provincial, territorial and federal government departments and agencies share current and historical map-based forest resource inventory datasets through CASFRI so that their data are available to users who’s areas of interest span multiple jurisdictions. CASFRI was originally developed by academic researchers (Cumming et al., https://doi.org/10.1139/cjfr-2014-0102). This flavour of CASFRI (CASFRIv5) was developed anew in collaboration with academic researchers at the University of Laval to provide a government version of CASFRI that is findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable. It uses the most up-to-date forest inventory data provided by participating provincial, territorial, and federal government departments and agencies. CASFRIv5 is hosted on the Canadian Council of Forest Ministers’ data portal, the National Forest Information System (http://nfis.org).

There are currently no plans to update this legacy data.

It may not meet current government standards.This inventory presents chronologically the satellite images acquired, orthorectified and published over time by Natural Resources Canada. It is composed of imagery from the Landsat7 (1999-2003) and RADARSAT-1 (2001-2002) satellites, as well as the CanImage by-product and the control points used to process the images.Landsat7 Orthorectified Imagery: The orthoimage dataset is a complete set of cloud-free (less than 10%) orthoimages covering the Canadian landmass and created with the most accurate control data available at the time of creation.RADARSAT-1 Orthorectified Imagery: The 5 RADARSAT-1 images (processed and distributed by RADARSAT International (RSI) complete the landsat 7 orthoimagery coverage. They are stored as raster data produced from SAR Standard 7 (S7) beam mode with a pixel size of 15 m. They have been produced in accordance with NAD83 (North American Datum of 1983) using the Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) projection. RADARSAT-1 orthoimagery were produced with the 1:250 000 Canadian Digital Elevation Data (CDED) and photogrammetric control points generated from the Aerial Survey Data Base (ASDB).CanImage -Landsat7 Orthoimages of Canada,1:50 000: CanImage is a raster image containing information from Landsat7 orthoimages that have been resampled and based on the National Topographic System (NTS) at the 1:50 000 scale in the UTM projection. The product is distributed in datasets in GeoTIFF format. The resolution of this product is 15 metres.Landsat7 Imagery Control Points: the control points were used for the geometric correction of Landsat7 satellite imagery. They can also be used to correct vector data and for simultaneously displaying data from several sources prepared at different scales or resolutions.

The National Pollutant Release Inventory (NPRI) is Canada's public inventory of pollutant releases (to air, water and land), disposals and transfers for recycling.The files below contain a map of Canada showing the locations of all facilities that reported disposals and transfers to the NPRI in the most recent reporting year, by reported total quantities. The map is available in both ESRI REST (to use with ARC GIS) and WMS (open source) formats. This database aggregates basic information on orphaned and abandoned mine sites from participating Canadian jurisdictions, including their name, location, jurisdiciton, and the commodity that was mined. It was originally created in 2012 through the National Orphaned/Abandoned Mines Initiative and has undergone several updates since that time. Data on sites in each jurisdiction is owned and maintained by that jurisdiction. The database includes links to the corresponding records in that jursidiction. While the database includes common informaiton about all sites, there may be discrepancies in the types of data provided about sites in different jurisdictions and data from some jurisdictions may be updated more frequently than others.

The well registry is a collection of records, including drilling logs and report documents, maintained by Yukon Government. These records provide information on the well construction details and subsurface conditions encountered at the time of drilling. Although some information in the dataset may be edited over time, the primary purpose is to document the original drilling conditions and not to provide an updated status of the well. There is no current overarching requirement for drillers or owners to submit well logs, therefore many have been provided on a voluntary basis. Therefore, this should not be expected to be a complete list of all wells across the territory.The water well dataset contains records obtained through the domestic water well program, voluntary submissions, and regulatory processes (licenses and permits). No identifiable personal information will be used or available on the public database.
