Essential Skills Training Projects
The Essential Skills Playbook projects map is developed to highlight projects featured as part of the “Essential Skills Playbook” published by the Office of Literacy and Essential Skills program (OLES) at Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC). The playbook is developed as a showcase for sharing promising practices, case studies and partnerships, based on OLES projects that were funded through grants and contributions generally dating back to 2012. This map allows users to visualize OLES-funded projects and explore various data variables such as the targeted groups, essential skills, and industry sectors of each project.
Public health unit boundaries
This geospatial dataset contains the geographic boundaries of the 34 Public Health Units (PHUs) in Ontario, based on Statistics Canada’s Health Region Boundary File (2018). A PHU is the area of jurisdiction of a board of health. PHUs in Ontario are defined in Regulation 553 (Revised Regulations of Ontario), pursuant to Health Protection and Promotion Act R.S.O. 1990, Amended to O. Reg. 64/05.
Forestry Education and Skills Resource Inventory
The dataset contains information relating to forestry-related trades education, associations, education, innovation, education/macro-credentials, institutions, and research.
RADARSAT-1 - Heatmap of processed archived images
RADARSAT-1, in operation from 1995 to 2013, is Canada's first earth observation satellite. Developed and operated by the Canadian Space Agency (CSA), it has provided essential information to government, scientists and commercial users.Ultimately, the RADARSAT-1 mission generated the largest synthetic-aperture radar (SAR) data archive in the world. In April 2019, 36,000 images were made accessible through the Earth Observation Data Management System (eodms-sgdot.nrcan-rncan.gc.ca).A heatmap of processed images was produced by the CSA and helps visualize the density of images available by mapped sector during the RADARSAT-1 mission.
Vegetation Inventory Field Plots - Whitehorse - 10k
The field plots were used to help during the photo interpretation process. The temporary plots provided essential information to interpreters to relate photo observed attributes with field measurements. The field work for the inventory was carried out during the winter of 2004/2005 with the project delivered by the contractor in October 2005. Delineation was based on 1:10,000 black and white photography acquired by the City of Whitehorse in 2001. Mapping and DTM were available for this project based on the 2001 photography.Distributed from [GeoYukon](https://yukon.ca/geoyukon) by the [Government of Yukon](https://yukon.ca/maps) . Communities and subdivisions - surveyed
Features are Administrative Land Objects that represent the spatial extents of a jurisdiction that is created and managed as a separate entity within the ICM database. Un-derived Administrative Areas include QUADs, Groups, Subdivisions, Municipalities, Block Land Transfers, Settlement Areas, Districts and Regions. Un-derived Administrative Areas also include the spatial extent of site that do not have a specific administrative boundary such as Indian settlements and national historic sites. In the LYR files for CSW, the QUADs & Groups were removed with a Query Builder. This cadastral framework provides a parcel base of properly structured vector data designed and suited for Geographical Information System (GIS) application and can be used for land management purposes. This data set is not be used for defining boundaries. Administrative decisions should be based on legal documents and legal survey plans.Distributed from [GeoYukon](https://yukon.ca/geoyukon) by the [Government of Yukon](https://yukon.ca/maps) . Forecasted Basin-Average Accumulated Precipitation (GFS - 168 Hrs)
This polygon layer presents the spatial distribution of forecasted accumulated precipitation from the Global Forecast System (GFS) over watershed sub‑basins. GFS APCP raster data are overlaid with global watershed boundaries, and zonal statistics are computed to derive average precipitation per sub‑basin over a 7‑day (168‑hour) period. This product aids in global disaster preparedness and water management planning.GFS model output is processed into APCP rasters that capture accumulated precipitation over a 7‑day forecast period. These rasters are then combined with watershed boundary data, and zonal statistics are applied to compute average precipitation for each sub‑basin. The final polygon features provide a clear depiction of global rainfall and snowfall patterns, offering critical information for disaster risk management and international water resource planning.
Education - Authorities Unorganized
This is an approximated visualization of the School Authority Unorganized information that is currently available on the Alberta Education public website (https://education.alberta.ca/boundary-maps/school-jurisdiction-maps/everyone/view-and-print-maps). The information has been informed by Ministerial Orders and is presented in a mapping format.

TANTALIS - Crown Land Inventory
TA_CROWN_INVENTORY_SVW contains the spatial representation (polygon) of active and applied for Crown Land Inventory Dispositions. Inventories are lands identified for review to determine the availability to market. The view was created to provide a simplified presentation of this single tenure type from the disposition information in the Tantalis operational system. The same content could be derived from the TA_CROWN_TENURES_SVW by filtering to this tenure type only
