Federal Crown Land
The dataset identifies the location and types of Federal Land. These polygon boundaries should be verified using Federal Crown Land Survey Records and/or title searched at the local Land Registry Office. This data set may not include all Federally owned lands. Official GEO title: Federal Land Other
Crown Land Trails
The Crown Land Trails dataset is a collection of linear features representing the location of trails on Crown land administered under the Public Lands Act, Provincial Parks Act, Wilderness Areas, Ecological Reserves, Natural Areas, Heritage Rangelands Act and Willmore Wilderness Parks Act in Alberta. Please note that this dataset supersedes the Glenbow Ranch Provincial Park Trails and Fish Creek Trails datasets. The dataset also includes provincial trails designated under the Trails Act and established as provincial trails under the Public Lands Act, through Ministerial Order. These provincial trails include the trail tread (the surface on which people travel) as well as a boundary which is minimum 10m either side of the centerline of the trail tread. The boundary is defined in the Trail Designation: Ministerial Order. This boundary is to ensure associated structures are captured within the trail boundary, such as signs, parking areas, and warming shelters and ensure the safety of people using the trail system. If any discrepancy occurs between the Alberta Public Land Use Zone (PLUZ) maps and data the maps shall take precedence. For provincial trails, Public Land Use Zone maps have not been updated to reflect provincial trails. Users must adhere to the signs and notices for the applicable trail.
TANTALIS - Crown Tenures
Current Land Act tenures and applications for such tenures: a subset of crown land dispositions that are issued for specific purposes and periods of time under an agreement between an individual or company and the provincial government for an interest in crown land. Conveyances of ownership are not included. For example Leases, Licenses and Reserves are included, but Crown Grants and Acquisitions are not. Historical records (e.g. expired, replaced, or completed) are not included in this view.
TANTALIS - Integrated Survey Areas
An Integrated Survey Area is an administrative area within which a British Columbia Land Surveyor is required to integrate cadastral surveys with a network of control monuments under the Integrated Survey Area. Tantalis is an information system designed specifically for the needs of the complex workings of Crown Land Registry and to provide automated support for all aspects of Crown land administration. It was designed to provide a foundation for integrating spatial data associated with mapping of survey plans and administrative boundaries with attribute data associated with legal documents and administrative records. The system records and tracks the sale, survey, license, access, return, and restriction of Crown land in British Columbia. This new system introduced the capacity for further applications, to revolutionize access and processing of Crown land information
Crown land use policy area (provincial)
The spatial record for all the province's geographic areas affected by provincial level, area-specific land use policy. This layer may contain geometry from the: * provincial parks-regulated layer * conservation reserves-regulated layer * natural heritage values area layer * wilderness areas layer * crown land MNR acquisitions layer * crown land MNR unpatented layer * CLUPA geometry (enhanced management areas and general use areas) layer Not to be used as a source of protected areas (provincial park, conservation reserve, etc.), crown land or private land boundaries. Official GEO title: CLUPA Provincial
Crown land use policy area (overlay)
The Guide to Crown Land Use Planning Atlas (CLUPA) is the authoritative source for information on overlays. The dataset maintains a spatial record for all geographic areas of Ontario affected by the designations that modify area- specific land use policy. To be used as an overlay to [CLUPA Provincial data class](/data/crown-land-use-policy-area-provincial). Official GEO title: CLUPA Overlay
TANTALIS - Crown Land Leases
TA_CROWN_LEASES_SVW - A Crown Land Lease is a type of land tenure issued under the Land Act. A Land Act Lease is issued where long term tenure is required, where substantial improvements are proposed, and/or where definite boundaries are required in order to avoid land use and property conflicts. The tenure holder is granted the exclusive use and enjoyment of the area. The tenure holder also has the right to exclude or charge the public for use of the land and/or improvements, when this is consistent with the terms of the lease. Crown Leases require a (cadastral) survey prior to issuance
TANTALIS - Crown Land Reserves and Notations
TA_CROWN_RSRV_NOTATIONS_SVW contains the spatial representation (polygon) of active and applied for Reserves and Notations. Reserves are a particular type of crown land tenure that grants an agency the right to implement a restriction on the use of crown land. Federal and Provincial government agencies and corporations may apply for the establishment of Land Act Reserves over high value sites required for public purposes, including research and education. Depending on the type of reserve (Order in Council, Map Reserve, Land Act Designation (which can be designated use or prohibitive use) and Notation of Interest) the area is withdrawn from disposition under the Land Act. The view was created to provide a simplified presentation of this single tenure type from the disposition information in the Tantalis operational system. The same content could be derived from the TA_CROWN_TENURES_SVW by filtering to this tenure type only
Treaty Land Entitlement Sites in Manitoba
This polygon dataset shows Crown land selections by First Nations as outlined by the Treaty Land Entitlement (TLE) Agreements in Manitoba, pursuant to the Crown Lands Act 5(1)(d).The purpose of this dataset is to show Crown land selection boundaries and information as outlined by the Treaty Land Entitlement (TLE) Agreements in Manitoba, pursuant to the Crown Lands Act 5(1)(d). This is a dynamic dataset — data can change daily.Site selections are generally identified and submitted on hard copy 1:50,000 National Topographic System (NTS) maps by the applicable First Nations. Selections are digitized using, where possible, 1:50,000 NTS map sheet base mapping, satellite or aerial imagery in the background. The method used is dependent on the location of the selection and the availability of digital base mapping in the area. A record may contain multiple polygons that have been combined to form one record.Best efforts have been taken to reasonably illustrate the parcels. All boundaries are to be considered approximate and for illustrative purposes only. For more information on Treaty Land Entitlement (TLE) Agreements, please visit the Manitoba government website: https://www.gov.mb.ca/inr/treaty-land-entitlement/index.htmlFields included [Alias (Field Name): Field description]OBJECTID (OBJECTID): Sequential unique whole numbers that are automatically generatedSite ID (SITE_ID): Site ID number of the selected siteArea in Square Metres (AREA): Area in square metresArea in Acres (ACREAGE): Area in acresBand Council Resolution Number (BCR_NO): Band Council Resolution numberName of the First Nation Making the Land Selection (BAND_NAME): Name of the First Nation making the land selectionSite Number (SITE_NO): Site number of the selected siteSelection Name (SELECTION): Name of the selected siteStatus Description (STATUS_DES): Land selection status description
