Forest resource processing facilities
This data is used for referencing spatial and tabular Forest Resource Processing Facility information. Each facility has one or more processing sites, each dedicated to processing resources for a specific purpose. For example, a pulp, paper and paperboard facility has one processing site to produce pulp, and another one dedicated to producing paper. All facilities that use 1,000 cubic metres or more of forest resources in one year must have a facility licence. This data class has been remodeled in 2014 to make it more flexible as a stand-alone product.
Landscape Management Units - 250k
The purpose of this feature class is to identify the forest resources management zones within a Forest Resources Management Plan, as per subsection 2(h) of the Forest Resources Regulation. These sub-divided smaller forest planning areas or landscape units are based on watershed boundaries and modified by local access and development patterns. They usually contain similar management concerns and forest types. The units form the boundaries for detailed information gathering, monitoring and planning.Distributed from [GeoYukon](https://yukon.ca/geoyukon) by the [Government of Yukon](https://yukon.ca/maps) . Forest Resources Management Plans - 250k
The purpose of this feature class is to identify the individual annual allowable cut and annual limit areas as referred to in the Forest Resources Act subsection 20(2) and 31(10 of the Forest Resources Regulation). Where there is no approved Forest Resources Management Plan (FRMP) for an area, forest resources harvesting can only be authorized in an amount less than that prescribed by regulation for that area. The Forest Resources Regulation subsection 31(1) establishes the annual limits for harvesting timber resources for areas without an FRMP. These areas are referred to as the Annual Limit Regions in Schedule 1 of the Regulation titled Timber Harvesting Areas. These annual limits are set as the annual allowable cut for each of the areas, until such time as a Forest Resources Management Plan is approved for that area.Distributed from [GeoYukon](https://yukon.ca/geoyukon) by the [Government of Yukon](https://yukon.ca/maps) . Forest Development Units
The spatial representation of a Forest Stewardship Plan and Forest Development Units. A Forest Stewardship Plan is a plan submitted by a forest industry licensee stating how the BC Government's objectives for managing the province's forest resources will be met. It identifies the plan-holder's obligations for a five-year period. The Forest Development Unit is the spatially-mapped area of land within a Forest Stewardship Plan where specific forest practices obligations apply to specific forest licensees.
FADM - Region Compartment
The spatial representation for an Inventory Region or Compartment. Established by the Resource Inventory Branch, Inventory Regions are large drainages encompassing groups of small drainages also known as compartments. These were once used for planning purposes, similar to the current Planning Cells. They are now maintained in the files as reference for many administration boundaries
