Disease Investigations data
Table containing information relevant to animal disease investigations in Manitoba from 2012 to present. This table contains information relevant to animal disease investigations in Manitoba from 2012 to present, conducted by the Chief Veterinary Office (CVO). Information includes year, number of sites, number of linked sites, animal species, disease types and results. Updated on a weekly basis. It is important that users are aware of the following caveats when reviewing data presented in the Animal Disease Investigations Dashboard: 1. Each investigation can have one or more cases involved depending on the number of herds or animals exposed. Not all disease investigations are handled the same due to a partnership approach. Diseases can be detected via surveillance, ad hoc reporting, or through other programs. 2. Rabies is a separate program. Please see Manitoba's Provincial Rabies Management Program for data related to Rabies Surveillance.3. Certain zoonotic diseases, such as salmonella or influenza, are also captured in more detail through other means. The total occurrence of a zoonotic disease represented in this dashboard reflects occurrences where risks or exposures were deemed significant enough to warrant further investigation. 4. Historically, One Health Investigations that were predominantly focused on Public Health issues rather than Animal Health concerns were not captured in this system and will be underrepresented here. Fields included ( Alias (Field Name): Field description.) Year (Year): Year of the disease investigation Number of Sites (Number_of_Sites): Number of investigation sites Number of Linked Sites (Number_of_Linked_Sites): Number of sites linked to investigation sites Species/Class (Species__Class): Group of animal species Disease Type (Disease_Type): The type of disease that is being investigated Result (Result): The outcome (positive/negative) for the corresponding animal disease investigation
Historical Hydrometric Data
Historical hydrometric data are standardized water resource data and information. They are collected, interpreted and disseminated by the National Hydrological Services (NHS) in partnership with the provinces, territories and other agencies through the National Hydrometric Program. These data sets include daily mean, monthly mean, annual maximum and minimum daily mean and instantaneous peak water level and discharge information for over 2700 active and 5100 discontinued hydrometric monitoring stations across Canada.
Child Care Map Data
This dataset provides information which is currently displayed on the Child Care Programs Map. The intent of the Child Care Programs Map is to provide an online resource to assist families searching for ministry-funded licensed child care listed by city, address, licence type and services offered. Telemetry
The documented occurrence data package contains 3 datasets that, in combination, help to provide generalized information about woodland caribou locations and survey areas in Saskatchewan. This information may assist users in their efforts to avoid or mitigate impacts to woodland caribou when operating in woodland caribou range. Generalized locations of caribou use have been provided to better reflect their large home ranges. Absence of a hexagon in an area should not be interpreted as absence of woodland caribou. Please read the Data Guide for important information about this product. Download survey boundaries, telemetry occurrence, and sightings/sign. Download the full package, including data guide here. The Woodland Caribou Documented Occurrence public data product is composed of three shapefiles/feature classes: 1. Woodland Caribou Occurrence - Sighting and Sign 2. Woodland Caribou Occurrence - Telemetry 3. Woodland Caribou Survey Boundaries The two occurrence datasets contain a grid of 18 sq km hexagons (tessellation). The inclusion of a hexagon in the dataset indicates that one or more animal sightings or sign, or telemetry points have been documented in that area. Importantly, lack of caribou occurrence (e.g. no hexagon) should not be interpreted as absence of woodland caribou. Rather, data may not have been collected in these areas or incidental or other observations have not been received. The survey boundaries dataset displays the boundaries of woodland caribou surveys that were completed by or in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment from 2005 to 2024. Boundaries are from multiple sources, and include various types of surveys (fecal pellet collection or telemetry). These boundaries provide context when viewed alongside the woodland caribou occurrence datasets. We expect to see more occurrence locations in areas that have been surveyed. This information may provide context to areas with a seemingly higher number of occurrences. For a full description of the data, please refer to the Data Guide document available for download on the Saskatchewan GeoHub.
