First Responders identifies the location of ambulance, fire, police and coast guard facilities in British Columbia.

The Fire Response Boundary layer defines the geographic area for the primary providers of response services. This layer is used by the ECRF (Emergency Call Routing Function) to perform a geographic query to determine which Emergency Service Providers are responsible for providing service to a location in the event a selective transfer is desired, to direct an Emergency Incident Data Document to a secondary PSAP (Public Safety Answering Point) for dispatch, or to display the responsible agencies at the PSAP. These structure, isopach and zero edge files are part of a series of stratigraphic framework maps for the Saskatchewan Phanerozoic Fluids and Petroleum Systems (SPFPS) project.The series of stratigraphic framework maps for the Saskatchewan Phanerozoic Fluids and Petroleum Systems (SPFPS) project have been produced using 2 km equi-spaced modified grids generated from Golden Software’s Surfer 9 kriging algorithm. The dataset used to produce each of the maps in this series was created using data from several projects completed by the Ministry (Christopher, 2003; Saskatchewan Industry and Resources et al., 2004; Kreis et al., 2004; Marsh and Heinemann, 2006; Saskatchewan Ministry of Energy and Resources et al., 2007; Heinemann and Marsh, 2009); these data were validated and edited as required to facilitate correlations between the various regional projects. In addition, to minimize edge effects during contouring, the senior author also generated stratigraphic data from wells in adjacent jurisdictions.

DEPRECATED: During a declared emergency event, this dataset will include the communities affected by Evacuation Order Orders and Alerts, which represents the populated communities and First Nations in the province, and their current evacuation status.

During a declared emergency event, this file represents an aggregated dataset that shows all of the active Orders and Alerts in the Province as initiated by the Local Governments or First Nations. When an Order or Alert is rescinded, its status changes to All Clear. The polygon is removed from this layer and copied to the [Historical Orders and Alerts dataset](https://catalogue.data.gov.bc.ca/dataset/historical-orders-and-alerts).

The First Nations geographic location dataset contains the geographic location of First Nations (groups and subgroups) in Canada as points as well as basic attributes data. The location identifies where the First Nations live. Each First Nation point represents its administrative office address as it is registered in Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) Band Governance Management System (BGMS). When the First Nation administrative office is located outside its associated most populated reserve boundary, adjustments are made to relocate the point within its boundaries, otherwise within the boundaries of another associated reserve or the city where the administrative office is located. When the administrative office or the First Nation is impossible to locate, the location is based on the best available information on the First Nation (e.g. official First Nation Web site). A connection with the BGMS is in place to ensure that any update to the system is reflected in the attributes data associated with the location of each First Nation.This dataset is Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada (CIRNAC) and Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) official source for First Nation geographic location on maps.

This product provides information on the geographic position of ambulance meeting point signs in the territory of Bas-Saint-Laurent as well as that of Gaspésie—Îles-de-la-Madeleine.The project of ambulance meeting points in the public forest was launched in the early 2000s. This project made it possible to establish a unique network bringing together ambulance meeting points available for all organizations using the forest environment, such as emergency action plan coordinators for forest workers, the Emergency Call Center for Eastern Quebec Regions (CAUREQ) and first responders from emergency services. The South-East Forest Management Directorate centralized the data from these points a few years after the start of the project. This centralization was done with the help of the Regional Operations Sector (SOR) and Rexforêt. It allowed the integration and standardization of data from the Bas-Saint-Laurent and Gaspésie-Îles-de-la-Madeleine regions. Traffic signs have been installed on the territory of both regions to indicate the meeting points for paramedics.This vector layer is official and updated annually. It is essential for the safety of forest workers that this data be easily accessible, up to date and uniform for the Lower Laurentian and Gaspesian territories.N.B: A file tracking changes to ambulance meeting points can be sent on request if necessary.**This third party metadata element was translated using an automated translation tool (Amazon Translate).**
