Terrestrial Ecosystem Mapping - Fort Sheppard - Sample Plots
Terrestrial Ecosystem Mapping Sample Plot Locations for Fort Sheppard in the Arrow Boundary Forest District (ttems_fs)
Stratigraphic and Lithological Picks of the Uppermost Geological Units in the Athabasca Oil Sands Area (tabular data, tab-delimited format)
This dataset has stratigraphic and lithological picks of the upper bedrock and Quaternary geological units in the Athabasca Oil Sands Area extending north from Cold Lake to the Fort McMurray region. The picks were compiled from the mid-1970s to 2006 to construct maps of the subsurface distribution, structure, topography and thickness of near-surface bedrock and Quaternary stratigraphic units. Alberta Geological Survey staff, as well as staff from industry and other government departments, interpreted the data.

Terrestrial Ecosystem Mapping for Fort Sheppard in the Arrow Boundary Forest District (ttem_fs)
Quaternary geology and bedrock subcrop of the Cold Lake to Ft. McMurray area, Alberta - Surface structure, McMurray Fm. - (1:250,000 scale gridded data)
A digital grid of the top of the McMurray Formation, originally modeled from borehole data and adjusted to present-day and paleo river erosion. The grid is generated at a 250 m cell-size resolution, based on information as recent as 2003.
Surficial Geology of the Fort Chipewyan Area, Alberta, NTS 74L (GIS data, drumlin features)
This dataset is a GIS version of the surficial geology drumlin features for the Fort Chipewyan area, Alberta (NTS74L), as mapped at 1:250,000 scale by L.A Bayrock (Alberta Geological Survey Map 141).
Surficial Geology of the Fort Chipewyan Area, Alberta, NTS 74L (GIS data, polygon features)
This dataset is a GIS version of the surficial geology areal features for the Fort Chipewyan area, Alberta (NTS 74L) , as mapped at 1:250,000 scale by L.A. Bayrock (Alberta Geological Survey Map 141).
Surficial Geology of the Fort Chipewyan Area, Alberta, NTS 74L (GIS data, line features)
This dataset is a GIS version of the surficial geology line features for the Fort Chipewyan area, Alberta (NTS 74L) , as mapped at 1:250,000 scale by L.A. Bayrock (Alberta Geological Survey Map 141).
Surficial Geology of the Fort Chipewyan Area, Alberta, NTS 74L (GIS data, point features)
This dataset is a GIS version of the surficial geology point features for the Fort Chipewyan area, Alberta (NTS 74L) , as mapped at 1:250,000 scale by L.A. Bayrock (Alberta Geological Survey Map 141).
Quaternary geology and bedrock subcrop of the Cold Lake to Ft. McMurray area, Alberta - Subcrop edge of the McMurray Fm. - (1:250,000 scale gridded data)
A digital grid of the subcrop edge of the McMurray Formation, originally modeled from borehole data and adjusted to present-day and paleo river erosion. Values in the grid correspond to areas where the unit is present (denoted by the number '6'), or where it is absent (denoted by the null value '-9999'). The grid is generated at a 250 m cell-size resolution, based on information as recent as 2003.
Industrial Heartland - Designated Industrial Zone Boundaries
The dataset was developed to provide geographic guide to better understand the boundaries of the Industrial Heartland - Designated Industrial Zone (IH-DIZ). The IH-DIZ industrial zoned land extends into 5 different municipalities, including: Approx. 533 km2 within the City of Fort Saskatchewan and the Counties of Lamont, Strathcona and Sturgeon. Approx. 49 km2 in the City of Edmonton, which is the industrial area known as the Edmonton Energy and Technology Park.
