Mining Regions
The spatial representation of the 5 Mining Regions for the Ministry of Energy, Mines and Low Carbon Innovation (EMLI). These administrative boundaries are derived from the 8 __[Natural Resource (NR) Regions](https://catalogue.data.gov.bc.ca/dataset/dfc492c0-69c5-4c20-a6de-2c9bc999301f)__ (https://catalogue.data.gov.bc.ca/dataset/dfc492c0-69c5-4c20-a6de-2c9bc999301f).
Success Structure
These structure, isopach and zero edge files are part of a series of stratigraphic framework maps for the Saskatchewan Phanerozoic Fluids and Petroleum Systems (SPFPS) project. The series of stratigraphic framework maps for the Saskatchewan Phanerozoic Fluids and Petroleum Systems (SPFPS) project have been produced using 2 km equi-spaced modified grids generated from Golden Software’s Surfer 9 kriging algorithm. The dataset used to produce each of the maps in this series was created using data from several projects completed by the Ministry (Christopher, 2003; Saskatchewan Industry and Resources et al., 2004; Kreis et al., 2004; Marsh and Heinemann, 2006; Saskatchewan Ministry of Energy and Resources et al., 2007; Heinemann and Marsh, 2009); these data were validated and edited as required to facilitate correlations between the various regional projects. In addition, to minimize edge effects during contouring, the senior author also generated stratigraphic data from wells in adjacent jurisdictions.
Court Locations
The Court Locations is comprised of all court locations in BC, and includes basic information about each location such as address, phone number, region and court level. To see current locations visit the following webpage https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content?id=5AD9441AEBD9428FA6EF86D6B1E39E96
Wildlife values site
The wildlife values area and site datasets represent the consolidation of 13 wildlife data classes collected by the Ministry of Natural Resources. The data estimates locations used by wildlife for various reasons, including: * breeding * calving and fawning * denning * feeding * staging * nesting * wintering * general habitat areas * nurseries * travel corridors Locations are represented as points (site) or polygons (area) and may be related to a specific species or described more generally. Wildlife values data is most often used to support policy and legislation associated with the Crown Forest Sustainability Act. The data may also be used to inform a wide range of resource management activities and decisions. There are additional sensitive features related to provincially tracked species and species at risk that are not available as part of the open data package. Sensitive features are subject to licensing and approvals and may be requested by contacting [geospatial@ontario.ca](geospatial@ontario.ca).
NG911 Railroads - Whitehorse
The Railroads layer delineates the estimated centreline of the rail lines within the City of Whitehorse.Data was modeled using the NENA NG9-1-1 GIS Data Template (NENA-REF-006. 2 -202 2 ).Distributed from [GeoYukon](https://yukon.ca/geoyukon) by the [Government of Yukon](https://yukon.ca/maps) . Maritimes 4VSW Research Vessel Survey
“4VSW” missions focus on the eastern half of the Scotian Shelf, and occur primarily in March, but sets in both February, and April are also present in the data. These missions use a unique stratification scheme intended to optimize the abundance estimates of cod. Collected data includes total catch in numbers and weights by species. Length frequency data is available for most species, as are the age, sex, maturity and weight information for a subset of the individual animals. Other data such as ageing material, genetic material, and stomach contents are often also collected, but are stored elsewhere.Cite this data as: Clark, D., Emberley, J. Oil and Gas Facility Location Applications
Facilities are an oil and gas activity, defined in the Energy Resources Activities Act as a system of vessels, piping, valves, tanks and other equipment used to gather, process, measure, store or dispose of petroleum, natural gas, water or a substance referred to in paragraph (d) or (e) of the definition of pipeline. This dataset contains point features for proposed applications collected through the BC Energy Regulator's Application Management System (AMS). This dataset is updated nightly.
Watercourses - Whitehorse - 10k
The field work for the inventory was carried out during the winter of 2004/2005 with the project delivered by the contractor in October 2005. Delineation was based on 1:10,000 black and white photography acquired by the City of Whitehorse in 2001. Mapping and DTM were available for this project based on the 2001 photography.Distributed from [GeoYukon](https://yukon.ca/geoyukon) by the [Government of Yukon](https://yukon.ca/maps) . Terrestrial Ecodistricts of Canada
The “Terrestrial Ecodistricts of Canada” dataset provides representations of ecodistricts. An ecodistrict is a subdivision of an ecoregion and is characterized by distinctive assemblages of relief, landforms, geology, soil, vegetation, water bodies and fauna. For example, the Jeddore Lake ecodistrict (no. 473) is one of five ecodistricts within the Maritime Barrens ecoregion.
Martimes Summer Research Vessel Survey
“Summer” missions occur in June, July and August and these focus on the Scotian Shelf and Bay of Fundy (i.e. 4VWX 5Yb, expanding recently to include the Laurentian Channel and Georges Bank (5Zc). Collected data includes total catch in numbers and weights by species. Length frequency data is available for most species, as are the age, sex, maturity and weight information for a subset of the individual animals. Other data such as ageing material, genetic material, and stomach contents are often also collected, but are stored elsewhere.“Summer” cruises occur in May, June, July and August and these focus on the Scotian Shelf and Bay of Fundy (i.e. 4VWX).Cite this data as: Clark, D., Emberley, J.
