A Yukon-wide compilation of spatial data derived from over 195 surficial geology maps originally published at scales ranging from 1:10,000 to 1:250,000. Polygon features describe surficial material, texture, age, surface expression and geomorphological processes. Line features include surficial geological contacts, glacial limits and linear landforms. Point features include field stations and small site specific landforms.

CanVec contains more than 60 topographic features classes organized into 8 themes: Transport Features, Administrative Features, Hydro Features, Land Features, Manmade Features, Elevation Features, Resource Management Features and Toponymic Features.This multiscale product originates from the best available geospatial data sources covering Canadian territory. It offers quality topographic information in vector format complying with international geomatics standards.CanVec can be used in Web Map Services (WMS) and geographic information systems (GIS) applications and used to produce thematic maps. The Base Hydrography Point Update layer contains hydrographic point features representing the locations of water or water related features, it is an updated of the Base Features Hydro Points in Southern Alberta from orthophoto and various sources of provincial base data.

The Base Features Access Railway spatial layer is the authoritative source of railway data for the province of Alberta. It is a part of the Access data collection which also includes roads, powerlines, cutlines and trails, and industrial facilities.

It originates from the best available data sources covering Canadian territory, offers quality topographical information in vector format, and complies with international geomatics standards.
