Observed Basin-Average Accumulated Precipitation (HRDPA - Past 1 day, 3 days & 7 days)
This polygon layer depicts sub-basin average observed precipitation from the High Resolution Deterministic Precipitation Analysis (HRDPA). Offers insight into how much rain/snow actually fell across each watershed in the past observation period. Observation periods we are interested are for past 1 day, 3 days and 7 days.HRDPA is ECCC’s high-resolution precipitation analysis, merging gauge, radar, and HRDPS model data. This layer aggregates the final (or preliminary) HRDPA accumulations to sub-basin polygons. Each record indicates the average precipitation that truly occurred over each watershed, vital for verifying model forecasts, calibrating hydrological models, and conducting post-event analyses of flood or drought severity.
High Resolution Deterministic Precipitation Analysis averaged by watershed
The Canadian Precipitation Analysis System (CaPA) produces a best estimate of 6 and 24 hour precipitation amounts. This objective estimate integrates data from in situ precipitation gauge measurements, radar QPEs and a trial field generated by a numerical weather prediction system. In order to produce the High Resolution Deterministic Precipitation Analysis (HRDPA) at a resolution of 2.5 km, CaPA is connected to the continental HRDPS for its trial field. CaPA-HRDPA produces four analyses of 6 hour amounts per day, valid at synoptic hours (00, 06, 12 and 18 UTC) and two 24 hour analyses valid at 06 and 12 UTC. A preliminary production is started 1 hour after valid time and a final one is launched 7 hours later. This translates into a production of 12 analyses per day.

HRDPA Observed Accumulated Precipitation - Past 1day, 3 days & 7 days
This polygon layer visualizes actual observed precipitation polygons (classed by amounts) from the HRDPA product, offering a clear map-based depiction of recent rainfall or snowfall distribution. Observation periods depicted are past 1 day, past 3 days and past 7 days. This polygon layer is generated by taking HRDPA’s gridded precipitation data (6h, 24h, or multi-day accumulations) and grouping them into precipitation ranges, then polygonizing. Each feature shows how much precipitation truly fell in that zone. This is essential for event verification against forecasts, analyzing localized extremes, and updating water resource or flood models with real observed input.
HRDPA Observed Accumulated Precipitation - Past 7 days ONLY- WEBMAP
This WebMap comprises of two layers , namely, HRDPA Observed Accumulated Precipitation - Past 1 day, 3 days and 7 days (feature layer) ; and HRDPA SubBasin Precipitation Distribution - Past 1 day, 3 day, and 7 days (feature layer).HRDPA is ECCC’s high-resolution precipitation analysis, merging gauge, radar, and HRDPS model data. CaPA-HRDPA produces four analyses of 6 hour amounts per day, valid at synoptic hours (00, 06, 12 and 18 UTC) and two 24 hour analysis valid at 06 and 12 UTC. Open Database of Healthcare Facilities
The Open Database of Healthcare Facilities (ODHF) is a collection of open data containing the names, types, and locations of health facilities across Canada. It is released under the Open Government License - Canada. The ODHF compiles open, publicly available, and directly-provided data on health facilities across Canada. Data sources include regional health authorities, provincial, territorial and municipal governments, and public health and professional healthcare bodies. This database aims to provide enhanced access to a harmonized listing of health facilities across Canada by making them available as open data. This database is a component of the Linkable Open Data Environment (LODE).
Mental Health and Substance Use Health Services
The HealthLink BC Mental Health and Substance Use (MHSU) data set includes the following: Programs that offer early intervention, transitional care or other services that supplement and facilitate primary and adjunctive therapies; which offer community mental health education programs; or which link people who are in need of treatment with appropriate providers. Programs that provide preventive, diagnostic and treatment services in a variety of community and hospital-based settings to help people achieve, maintain and enhance a state of emotional well-being, personal empowerment and the skills to cope with everyday demands without excessive stress or reliance on alcohol or other drugs. Treatment may include emotional support, introspection and problem-solving assistance using a variety of modalities and approaches, and medication, as needed, for individuals who have a substance use disorder involving alcohol and/or other drugs or for people who range from experiencing difficult life transitions or problems in coping with daily living to those with severe, chronic mental illnesses that seriously impact their lives. Multidisciplinary programs, often offered on an inpatient basis with post-discharge outpatient therapy, that provide comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services for individuals who have anorexia nervosa, binge-eating disorder, bulimia or a related eating disorder. Treatment depends on the specific type of eating disorder involved but typically involves psychotherapy, nutrition education, family counseling, medication and hospitalization, if required, to stabilize the patient's health. Alliance of Information & Referral Systems (AIRS) / 211 LA County taxonomy is the data classification used for all HealthLink BC directory data, including this MHSU data set (https://www.airs.org/i4a/pages/index.cfm?pageid=1). Homogenized Surface Pressure (AHCCD)
The Homogenized Surface Pressure data consist of monthly, seasonal and annual means of hourly sea level and station pressure (hectopascals) for 626 locations in Canada. Homogenized climate data incorporate adjustments (derived from statistical procedures) to the original station data to account for discontinuities from non-climatic factors, such as instrument changes or station relocation. The time periods of the data vary by location, with the oldest data available from 1953 at some stations to the most recent update in 2014. Data availability over most of the Canadian Arctic is restricted to 1953 to present. The data will continue to be updated every few years (as time permits).
Ministry of Transportation (MOT) Highway Reference Points (HRP)
Highway Reference Point is a visibly recognizable feature used to describe and identify a point on the Highway (i.e., a reference point abstracted on the Highway and defined by a physical landmark such as an intersection). HRP Landmarks are used in order to provide reference points relating to inventory item data
