The spatial representation for a Timber Supply Area or TSA Supply Block: A Timber Supply Area is a designated area established by the Ministry in order to practice sound, integrated, resource management principles to improve the allowable annual cuts. TSAs were originally defined by an established pattern of wood flow from management units to the primary timber-using industries. They are the primary unit for allowable annual cut (AAC) determination. A TSA Supply Block is a designated area within the TSA where the Ministry approves the allowable annual cuts

This directory contains Labour Force Distribution (LFD) rasters for Natural Resource Sectors generated from data provided in the CanEcumene 3.0 geodatabase. Each raster contains the proportion of employment(e) of either All Sectors (A) or Base Sectors (B). Base Sectors = all NR Sectors + Utilities + Manufacturing (minus-NR sectors primary sector manufacturing - e.g. forest, minerals, petroleum products). Here is the liste of each economic sector: AGR - Agriculture, ELC - Electricity, FIS - Fishery FOR - Forestry, MIN - Minerals, PET - Petroleum, ONR - Other Natural Resources (mostly support industries for Minerals and Petroleum - undifferentiated), NRS - All Natural Resource Sectors (the Total for all NR Sectors). In effect, these maps show the strong importance of Canada’s natural resource sectors in various regions of the country. The darker the tone in each map indicates a region’s higher degree of dependency on a given sector for their economic livelihood. **This third party metadata element follows the Spatio Temporal Asset Catalog (STAC) specification.**

These applications and subsequent agreements give the holder the right to explore Metallic and Industrial Minerals.

This dataset is a compilation of numerous data files recovered as part of a data request in 2024 from a historical archive of DFO research data. Sediment and Suspended Particulate Matter (SPM) samples were collected over more than a decade as part of Dr. Douglas Loring’s research program while working at the Bedford Institute of Oceanography (BIO). Samples were collected as part of individual and collaborative research projects, and links to the relevant primary science publications and reports are included in the data in an effort to provide context to the data, as well as describe the field and laboratory techniques used to generate the attached data.

Advanced projects are those with mineral reserves or resources (measured or indicated), the potential viability of which is supported by a preliminary economic assessment or a prefeasibility/feasibility study.
