This dataset was developed for inclusion in EXTECH IV Athabasca uranium multidisciplinary study project geoscience database.This dataset was developed for inclusion in the EXTECH IV Athabasca uranium multidisciplinary study project geoscience database. It includes the Athabasca Basin paleocurrent directions and was compiled from paper field data sheets. **Please Note – All published Saskatchewan Geological Survey datasets, including those available through the Saskatchewan Mining and Petroleum GeoAtlas, are sourced from the Enterprise GIS Data Warehouse.  They are therefore identical and share the same refresh schedule. 

STE_SCANNED_MAP_BOUNDARY_SP includes an index of the mapsheet grid location of Soils, Terrain, Ecosystems and related scanned maps (including Agriculture Capability and Climate Capability maps). These maps are intended for on-screen viewing or printing. The majority of the maps have been geo-referenced. Mapping may not cover the whole map grid area. Some maps are interim or draft and may have been superseded. Some files are of related legends and map project text. Associated scanned map boundary attributes describe the project map (project level metadata) and provide a link for downloading the map, plus links to related reports, geo-referenced maps, and GIS digital data available from other sources. ATTENTION - The IMAGE_URL link is only useable by BC government staff. Public users can download the scanned maps by using the ECOCAT_URL link. There is no charge for the scanned map files. Please note that some maps and more recent mapping may also be available in digital GIS format. See - Ecosystem and Terrain Mapping Data Inventory.

This is the spatial view used by Mineral Titles Online (MTO) on the mineral, placer and coal viewers. The spatial view combines the polygon information with attribute information for each title. Contains sub-surface title data in British Columbia for: - mineral claims, mining leases, mineral claim applications - placer claims, placer leases, placer claim applications - coal license applications, coal licenses, coal leases

Data set contains geographical referencing information like: * type of feature or place * location coordinates * geographic township * municipal and map references Also contains places and background information behind their official naming like: * name status * naming date * name origin * naming history This layer used to be distributed under the name "Geographic Name Extent" but was modified to "Geographic Named Extent" in November 2011. Wildlife Key Areas (WKA) are locations used by wildlife for critical, seasonal life functions. WKAs are identified by interpreting observed locations of wildlife at key times of year, not through intensive habitat assessment. Polygons derived from interviews with locals and from GIS interpretation of wildlife/habitat surveys. GIS interpretation follows criteria specific for taxon and/or populations of taxon. Key Areas are based on observed locations of wildlife at key times of year, not on habitat assessment. With new information, boundaries and designations of Key Areas can change and additional Key Areas can be identified. Furthermore, Key Areas are not the only sites important for wildlife. Other information sources can identify other sites important for wildlife for reasons outside the scope of the WKA Inventory Program. Updates to Key Areas occur only periodically. The VLI identifies and delineates areas of visual sensitivity near communities and along travel corridors throughout the province. It includes information about the visual condition, characteristics and sensitivity to alteration. It also houses scenic area and established Visual Quality Objective ( VQO ) attributes.
