The First Nations geographic location dataset contains the geographic location of First Nations (groups and subgroups) in Canada as points as well as basic attributes data. The location identifies where the First Nations live. Each First Nation point represents its administrative office address as it is registered in Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) Band Governance Management System (BGMS). When the First Nation administrative office is located outside its associated most populated reserve boundary, adjustments are made to relocate the point within its boundaries, otherwise within the boundaries of another associated reserve or the city where the administrative office is located. When the administrative office or the First Nation is impossible to locate, the location is based on the best available information on the First Nation (e.g. official First Nation Web site). A digital record of all Conservation Easements kept for planning purposes.This dataset represents all Conservation Easements registered with the Ministry of Environment. Clause 7(3) of the Conservation Easements Act indicates that for a CE to be in effect a copy of an executed CE must be provided to the Ministry. Receipt of this document is recorded in this Lands Branch database and an Agreement number is assigned sequentially. An interest, based on the CE, must also be registered with ISC. Currently these two datasets are not reconciled. Technical Details: Conservation Easements are meant to protect native habitat on lands in the Province. The boundaries of the native habitat protected under a CE may not coincident with the parcel boundaries. However, the CE is identified to the larger parcel boundary. It is this parcel identification the is reflected in this spatial dataset. The Agreement Number is included which identifies the filing number under which detailed information can be found in digital and hardcopy within the Lands Branch of the Ministry of Environment.

A tribal council is a grouping of First Nations with common interests who voluntarily joined together to provide services to member First Nations.The tribal council geographic location dataset contains the geographic location of all tribal councils in Canada as points as well as basic attributes data. Each tribal council point represents its address as it is registered in Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC) Indian Government Support System (IGSS). A connection with the IGSS is in place to ensure that any update to the system is reflected in the attributes data associated with the geography of each tribal council. The Indigenous Community Infrastructure dataset depicts infrastructure projects across Canada that are supported by Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) targeted infrastructure funding. The Saskatchewan Parks Boundaries dataset includes Provincial Parks (PP), Recreation Sites (RS), and Historic Sites (HS) as described in the The Parks Act, The Recreation Sites Regulations, 1991, and The Historic Sites Regulations, respectively.The Saskatchewan Parks Boundaries dataset is a version managed by the Saskatchewan Ministry of Parks, Culture and Sport that more closely matches the intent of the descriptions in The Parks Act, The Recreation Sites Regulations, 1991, and The Historic Sites Regulations than the dataset provided by Information Services Corporation (ISC). The last update was completed on Sept 22, 2021, to reflect changes as per the latest Recreation Sites Regulations amendment. The park types listed in the dataset include: 1) Provincial Parks, i.e., Natural Environment Parks (NE), Recreation Parks (RP), Wilderness Parks (WP), and Historic Parks (HP); 2) Recreation Sites (RS);   3) Protected Area (PR); and  4) HS Historic Sites (HS).
