The purpose of this feature class is to identify the individual annual allowable cut and annual limit areas as referred to in the Forest Resources Act subsection 20(2) and 31(10 of the Forest Resources Regulation). Where there is no approved Forest Resources Management Plan (FRMP) for an area, forest resources harvesting can only be authorized in an amount less than that prescribed by regulation for that area. The Forest Resources Regulation subsection 31(1) establishes the annual limits for harvesting timber resources for areas without an FRMP. These areas are referred to as the Annual Limit Regions in Schedule 1 of the Regulation titled Timber Harvesting Areas. This service provides routeing measures. These include established (mandatory) direction of traffic flow, recommended direction of traffic flow, separation lines, separation zones, limits of restricted routeing measure, limits of routeing measures, precautionary areas, archipelagic sea lanes (axis line and limit beyond which vessels shall not navigate) and fairways designated by regulatory authority.

Canadian Hydrographic Service (CHS) has made available all the publishable limits of modern day surveys whose data has been collected since 1989.

This dataset consists of the seventy-three (73) provincial limits of inland fisheries. It was generated from descriptions in Schedule II of the Federal Fisheries Act and from various Service New Brunswick databases.

Yukon Territory has been glaciated by Cordilleran and montane glaciers at various times throughout the Pleistocene, as well as by continental ice, the Laurentine Ice Sheet in the Late Pleistocene. Throughout the Late Cenozoic, each successive glaciation appears to have been less extensive than the previous one. In west-central Yukon the earliest glaciation occurred between 2.6 and 2.9 Ma. ago (Duk-Rodkin and Barendregt, 1997). This glaciation was the most extensive and formed a continuous carapace of ice covering all the mountain ranges, except for a small area of Dawson Range and a more extensive area in northern Yukon. The Mid Pleistocene Cordilleran glaciation was less extensive than older glaciations but it formed an extensive ice sheet covering most of the northern Cordillera. The Late Pleistocene glaciation was the most restrictive and formed a continuous carapace of ice from the continental divide to the Saint Elias Mountains, but only restricted ice caps formed on the Ogilvie Mountains. Standards Units for an opening represents desired soil conservation limits and stocking outcomes for the defined net area to be reforested. An opening may have one or more standard units. Standards Units may not overlap. Older records may not have standard unit maps available. Stocking standards represent legal silviculture obligations for harvested areas for the defined standard units. Saskatchewan Sport Fish Management Zones as described in the fisheries regulations.Spatial dataset created to represent the provincial sport fishing management zones within Saskatchewan as described in Table 5 of the Fisheries Regulations.  Saskatchewan is divided into three management zones for angling regulations.  Differences in the opening and closing dates for the angling season occur between zones, with certain lakes in each zone having special regulations applied to them.  Consult the Anglers’ Guide for further information on specific dates and/or limits.
