Provincially significant peatlands are a type of protected area designated under The Peatlands Stewardship Act and The Provincially Significant Peatlands Regulation.Provincially significant peatlands are a type of protected area designation under The Peatlands Stewardship Act and The Provincially Significant Regulation. Peatlands designated as provincially significant are legally protected from resource development activities, including peat harvesting, mining, hydro-electric development, logging, and agricultural activities. See The Peatlands Stewardship Act for additional details https://www.gov.mb.ca/nrnd/forest/land-management/peatlands/index.html.

This dataset delineates areas for which registration is granted to one or more licensed trappers for the trapping of fur bearing animals under the BC Wildlife Act. Traplines are designated by a regional manager of the recreational fisheries and wildlife programs. The Wildlife Act regulates who may set a trap for, hunt, kill, take or capture a fur bearing animal within a trapline.

TA_CROWN_DVLOPMNT_AGRMNTS_SVW contains the spatial representation (polygon) of active and applied for Land Act Development Agreements. Development Agreements allow for use of Crown Land for development with conditions for future purchase of base lands or tenure of property. The view was created to provide a simplified presentation of this single tenure type from the disposition information in the Tantalis operational system. The same content could be derived from the TA_CROWN_TENURES_SVW by filtering to this tenure type only

Long-term freshwater quality data from federal and federal-provincial sampling sites throughout Canada's aquatic ecosystems are included in this dataset. Measurements regularly include physical-chemical parameters such as temperature, pH, alkalinity, major ions, nutrients and metals. Collection includes data from active sites, as well as historical sites that have a period of record suitable for trend analysis. Sampling frequencies vary according to monitoring objectives. The number of sites in the network varies slightly from year-to-year, as sites are adjusted according to a risk-based adaptive management framework. The Great Lakes are sampled on a rotation basis and not all sites are sampled every year. Data are collected to meet federal commitments related to transboundary watersheds (rivers and lakes crossing international, inter-provincial and territorial borders) or under authorities such as the Department of the Environment Act, the Canada Water Act, the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999, the Federal Sustainable Development Strategy, or to meet Canada's commitments under the 1969 Master Agreement on Apportionment.

Orders in Council (OIC) are regulations or legislative orders in relation to and authorized by an existing Act. This table identifies Yukon lands withdrawn from disposal, usually by Territorial Order in Council. In Corporate Spatial Warehouse (CSW) data is split out into spatial views by Act under which orders are authorized. The tables are comprehensive and include both active and expired orders. Spatial views show only the active data.In this table and spatial views, Regulations by Order in Council (OIC) are spatially represented to provide clarity regarding Yukon lands withdrawn from disposal. Spatial data is viewed by the Act under which the order is authorized. Not all orders are for withdrawal, different levels of withdrawal are common and not detailed in GIS attributes. It is important to read OIC documents for specific details (https://legislation.yukon.ca/legislation/page_a.html).Distributed from [GeoYukon](https://yukon.ca/geoyukon) by the [Government of Yukon](https://yukon.ca/maps). This polygonal dataset represents authorized applications for a Mines Act permit known as a Permitted Mine Area (PMA). This dataset can be used in combination with the NoW point dataset which represents both applications for a Mines Act permit and issued authorizations for mining activities proposed in the application. **The regional mine PMA dataset is not complete for all mine sites in BC. Review the data quality section for more information** Point representation of NoW: https://catalogue.data.gov.bc.ca/dataset/fab53209-63be-4c61-8de4-3e3fceec4227 Applications for regional Mines Act permits are known as Notice of Work (NoW) applications. Regional mine permits are issued for mineral and coal exploration activities, sand and gravel production, quarry production, and placer mining. Major mine permits are issued for producing mineral and coal mines. Permits are issued by the chief permitting officer under section 10 of the Mines Act and administered by the ministry. **Regional mines include:** * Exploration — mineral, coal, rock quarry, industrial mineral or dimension stone * Sand and gravel — aggregate, rock or natural substances used for construction purposes * Placer   Most exploration and development activities require a permit under the Mines Act. A decision marks the end of the permitting process for a NoW application. The decision can either be to reject the application or to authorize the mining activities proposed in the NoW. * For new NoW authorizations, a Mines Act permit is issued * For an existing open Mines Act permit, the newly authorized mining activities are amended to the existing permit and the permit is re-issued   Notice of Work categories include: Notice of Work application type, Notice of Work application status. **Notice of Work application type** Field: NOW_APPLICATION_TYPE_DESC (NW_APPTYPD) * Coal * Mineral * Placer Operations * Quarry – Construction Aggregate * Quarry – Industrial Mineral * Sand and Gravel   **Notice of Work application status** Field: NOW_APPLICATION_STATUS_DESC (NW_APPSTAD) * Approved – mining activities in the NoW application have been authorized   **For the public view, please be aware that the ministry:** * Removed the attribute value of closed permits in the PERMIT_STATUS_CODE_DESC (PMT_STD) field. These records will show as permit status is NULL (empty). * Only shows mine commodities of gold or jade/nephrite in the MINE_COMMODITY_DESC (MN_COMD) field. All other commodity values remain NULL (empty)

The purpose of this layer is to provide end users with a spatial representation of the Designated Areas in adopted Development Plans and their consolidated amendments in Manitoba. It also allows users of the data to undertake a variety of land use planning analyses based on Development Plan Designations. This layer is intended to be a source of data delivery as well as usage in situ. This dataset is comprised of boundary geometry representing the Development Plan Designations for all of the Development Plan bylaws (as defined in The Planning Act) in force and effect within the Province of Manitoba. Spatial referencing of the designations is based on the best available land parcel data for each municipality. Where available, land parcel data based on registered survey plans and ground control coordinates was used. Otherwise, the reference grid maintained by Manitoba Sustainable Development was used. The delineation of the boundaries is set by the bylaw establishing or amending the boundary of each designation. Dataset content is subject to: Ongoing changes in designated areas which are determined by amendments to adopted Development Plans or the adoption of new Development Plans. Ongoing development and maintenance of the land parcel datasets. Improvements to the land parcel data are used to improve the positional accuracy of the Development Plan designation polygons. As of the publication date of this dataset, the following known issues remain: For designation boundaries that include water boundaries, the water boundary that best reflects the intended designation boundary was used. In some instances, road allowances on a municipal boundary are included in both of the adjoining municipalities. Please visit the Manitoba Municipal Relations website for more information at www.gov.mb.ca/mr. The Development Plan Designations data reflects the most current designations at the time of export and was uploaded to Manitoba Maps as a feature layer. Fields Included: OBJECTID: Sequential unique whole numbers that are automatically generated DP_BYLAW: Number assigned by planning authority to identify a specific bylaw DPA_BYLAW: Number assigned to a bylaw that amends an existing development plan bylaw PLANNINGDISTRICT: Name of the Planning District establishing the bylaws PLANNINGREGION: Area of responsibility for a Community and Regional Planning Branch (In the Department of Municipal Relations) office ACRES: Area of each polygon expressed in acres DES_NAME: Name of Designation as stated in the Development Plan bylaw DES_CATEGORY: Designation category as interpreted by Municipal Relations RES_MIN_ACRES_PER_LOT: Minimum acreage for a residential lot as defined by the Development Plan bylaw RES_MAX_ACRES_PER_LOT: Maximum acreage for a residential lot as defined by the Development Plan bylaw MUNI_NO: Manitoba municipality identifier number MUNI_NAME: Name of municipality AU_LIMIT: Animal Unit limit as set by the Development Plan Policy

TA_WILDLIFE_MGMT_AREAS_SVW contains the spatial representation (polygon) of the areas under the administration and control of the Conservation Lands Program of the Ministry of Forests, Lands, Natural Resource Operations and Rural Development and designated as Wildlife Management Areas under the Wildlife Act due to the significance of their wildlife/fish values. The view was created to provide a simplified view of this data from the administrative boundaries information in the Tantalis operational system
