EM Conductors
This dataset represents electromagnetic conductors for the Province of Saskatchewan at 1:1 million scale. This dataset represents electromagnetic conductors compiled from assessment files. The data was created as a file geodatabase feature class and made available for public distribution. Locations may be 200 to 300 meters off due to unknowns such as datums and projections of information submitted to the assessment files and due to poor location maps. **Please Note – All published Saskatchewan Geological Survey datasets, including those available through the Saskatchewan Mining and Petroleum GeoAtlas, are sourced from the Enterprise GIS Data Warehouse. They are therefore identical and share the same refresh schedule.
Village
The Village dataset is comprised of all the polygons that represent Villages in Alberta. Village is a municipality type defined under the authority of the Municipal Government Act. The formation of a Village can occur when a majority of the buildings are on parcels of land smaller than 1850 square meters and there is a population of 300 or more.
FADM - Pulpwood Agreement
The spatial representation for a Pulpwood Agreement, which is a 25 year term agreement, replaceable every ten years, that allows the holder of a wood-fibre processing facility to harvest Crown pulp timber if sufficient quantities of raw material are not available to the holder from other sources. Covers a large area in one or more Timber Supply Areas or TFLs.
MB Cattle Prices Current year
This data set contains Manitoba market cattle prices and volumes sold at local auction marts.Description of Cattle Prices -source
Hamlet, Locality and Townsite Point
The Culture Point dataset is comprised of all the points that represent Hamlets, Localities and Townsites in Alberta. The formation of a Hamlet can occur if there are 5 or more buildings used as dwellings with a majority of which are on parcels of land smaller than 1850 square metres, has a generally accepted boundary and name and contains parcels of land that are used for non-residential purposes. Hamlet is an unincorporated community that can be designated by the council of Municipal District or Specialized Municipality within their boundaries, or by the Minister of Municipal Affairs within the boundaries of an Improvement District. Locality is an unincorporated place or an area with scattered population. Townsite is a federally administered village. The boundaries of rural classification of Locality and Townsite are often undefined.
FADM - Pulpwood Area
The spatial representation for a Pulpwood Area, which is a designated area established by the Ministry where a resources analysis shows a surplus of wood fibre that is below sawlog-use standards
Bedrock Geological Units, Groundwater Geoscience Program
The bedrock geologic units designate units of the same types of rock which composed the solid rock exposed at ground surface (as outcrop) or which underlies unconsolidated surficial sediments. This dataset represents a general description of the stratigraphy and geology, including geologic unit thickness, morphology, age and rank. It features a list of the geologic unit names and types of rock (lithology) in the hydrogeological unit, from a controlled vocabulary. While the preferred format to deliver this data is by using a shapefile and its linked attributes, this dataset can be delivered also by providing link to external data which should have at least the same properties or also by joining a georeferenced image of the map.
Railways
The Base Features Access Railway spatial layer is the authoritative source of railway data for the province of Alberta. It is a part of the Access data collection which also includes roads, powerlines, cutlines and trails, and industrial facilities.
Manure Production Index 2001
The data represents the relative amount of manure production in the agricultural area of Alberta. It is an estimate of the degree to which livestock production may contribute to nutrient loading, pathogens and odour. The classes shown on the map are ranked between 0 (lowest) and 1 (highest). This resource was created in 2002 using ArcGIS.
Surficial Geological Units, Groundwater Geoscience Program
Surficial geologic units are unconsolidated materials overlying bedrock. The dataset represents a general description of the stratigraphy and geology, including geologic unit thickness, morphology, age and rank. It features a list of the geologic unit names and types of sediment in the hydrogeological unit. While the preferred format to deliver this data is by using a shapefile and its linked attributes, this dataset can be delivered also by providing link to external data which should have at least the same properties or also by joining a georeferenced image of the map.
