This map depicts the metamorphic facies for the Province of Saskatchewan, Canada.This map depicts the metamorphic facies for the province of Saskatchewan. The Precambrian Shield of Northern Saskatchewan has a complex metamorphic history with as many as six distinct thermotectonic events affecting various regions. Several of these result from major periods of crustal thickening attributed to orogenies, whereas others represent separate pulses of unknown origin. As might be expected, it is the most recent of these that are the most extensively preserves and that can be documented most reliably. FRI: Forest stands
Forest stands (FSTAND) is a vector delineation of relatively homogeneous forest stands or naturally non-forested areas as polygons with a 0.5 ha minimum area and a 2.0 ha median area.Download: Here The Saskatchewan Ministry of Environment, Forest Service Branch, has developed a forest resource inventory (FRI) which meets a variety of strategic and operational planning information needs for the boreal plains. Such needs include information on the general land cover, terrain, and growing stock (height, diameter, basal area, timber volume and stem density) within the provincial forest and adjacent forest fringe. This inventory provides spatially explicit information as 10 m or 20 m raster grids and as vectors polygons for relatively homogeneous forest stands or naturally non-forested areas with a 0.5 ha minimum area and a 2.0 ha median area. Landform by Ecoregion
The National Ecological Framework for Canada's "Landform by Ecoregion” series contains tables that provide regional landform information for components within the ecoregion framework polygon. It provides landform codes and their English and French-language descriptions as well as information about the percentage of the polygon that the component occupies. Regional landforms generally describe a region and include the various shapes of the land surface resulting from a variety of actions such as deposition or sedimentation (eskers, lacustrine basins), erosion (gullies, canyons), and earth crust movements (mountains). The regional landform classes are: plateau or tableland, hill and mountain, organic wetland, plain, scarp or valley.

CMIP5 Multi-Model Ensembles of Snow Depth projections
Multi-model ensembles of snow depth based on projections from twenty-eight Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 5 (CMIP5) global climate models are available for 1900-2100. Specifically, the 5th, 25th, 50th, 75th and 95th percentiles of the monthly, seasonal and annual ensembles of snow depth (m) are available for the historical time period, 1900-2005, and for emission scenarios, RCP2.6, RCP4.5 and RCP8.5, for 2006-2100. Note: Projections among climate models can vary because of differences in their underlying representation of earth system processes. Thus, the use of a multi-model ensemble approach has been demonstrated in recent scientific literature to likely provide better projected climate change information.
