This dataset contains primary processing facilities (e.g., smelters and refineries), mines and advanced projects related to Canada’s 34 critical minerals. Advanced projects are those with mineral reserves or resources (measured or indicated), the potential viability of which is supported by a preliminary economic assessment or a prefeasibility/feasibility study. These sites process, produce or consider producing at least one of Canada's critical minerals, but other minerals and metals may also be present.This dataset contains links that direct to non-Government of Canada websites that are not subject to the Privacy Act, the Official Languages Act or the Standard on Web Accessibility. This data set is the ArcInfo version of the Nova Scotia Mineral Occurrence Database. The data set was compiled by the Geoscience and Mines Branch of the Nova Scotia Department of Natural Resources and Renewables. This digital product was developed from the databases contained in Digital Product DP ME 1b. DP ME 2 contains a series of attribute tables that contain information about the various mineral occurrences present in the province of Nova Scotia. It includes information such as: types of alteration, sample analyses information, mineral commodities, coordinates, element and mineral type, mode of mineralization, NTS mapsheet information, element sampling information, stratigraphic units, types of surveys carried out and work done on the occurrence.

The land use permits necessary for coal exploration and development are issued by the Energy Mines and Resources Lands Branch under the TLYA. A comprehensive and up-to-date dataset of Mineral Resource Statements, including NI 43-101, JORC, and historic deposits in the Yukon. Resource statements have been grouped and calculations have been made to average and total the tonnage and grade for a property.

A mineral restriction is in place to limit and define mineral exploration and development within the Alberta government's mandate to protect natural or historical sites and to manage mineral resources. Examples of mineral restrictions include Bird Sanctuary, Provincial Park, and Coal Mine Licence Area. Restriction types with different levels of surface access are the result of government policy and all are mineral or substance specific.

This digital product is developed from a database of published abandoned mine openings for the province of Nova Scotia. The database is maintained by the Nova Scotia Department of Natural Resources and Renewables, Geoscience and Mines Branch. The database provides approximate coordinate locations for many of the abandoned mine openings, and also provides a source reference on each mine opening.

This data set represents the digital Mineral Resource potential of the Province of Saskatchewan.This dataset represents the mineral resource potential of Saskatchewan. Methodologies used to determine a ranking system of low to high mineral potential areas. 6 being high mineral potential while 1 being low. The data was created as a file geodatabase feature class and output for public distribution. **Please Note – All published Saskatchewan Geological Survey datasets, including those available through the Saskatchewan Mining and Petroleum GeoAtlas, are sourced from the Enterprise GIS Data Warehouse.  They are therefore identical and share the same refresh schedule.
