Piezometric Surface, Groundwater Geoscience Program
Level below which soil or rock is saturated with water, in the well and at the time the level has been measured, expressed in m above the sea level. Groundwater levels measured are interpolated / extrapolated to obtain groundwater level on every cell of the hydrogeological unit raster. Surfer and ArcGis are the software usually used to create groundwater level raster. The dataset designates a raster with a groundwater level, for each cell of the hydrogeological unit.
Groundwater Level, Groundwater Geoscience Program
Level below which soil or rock is saturated with water, in the well and at the time the level has been measured, expressed in m above the sea level. Groundwater depth is measured on the field, using a water level meters. The depth is then subtracted from the elevation of the measurement site to obtain the water level elevation. The dataset is a general description of the measurement site including location and well elevation. It features a series of points of the surface elevation of the groundwater body.
North America Surface Water Values
The North America Surface Water Values point dataset contains the current water level and stream flow values as recorded by Canadian and USA hydrometric gauging station locations. Daily values are recorded as well as comparisons with historical measurements, including difference in values from the previous day, the mean level for that calendar date, the annual mean water level, and maximum and minumum recorded levels. Percentile values based on historical average for both water level and stream flow are also included.Real-time gauging station data for Canada is available here: https://wateroffice.ec.gc.ca/search/statistics_e.htmlReal-time gauging station data for the United States is available here: https://waterservices.usgs.gov/rest/Statistics-Service.html
Hydrometric Monitoring Stations
A station is a site on a river or lake where water quantity (water level and flow) are collected and recorded.

Drinking Water Sources (Surface Water PODs)
Province-wide SDE spatial layer displaying consumptive water licence points of diversion for drinking water systems. In the context of this layer, Drinking Water Systems means two or more water licences for domestic purposes at a single POD; and/or a water licence(s) for any other purpose indicating a water diversion and distribution system supplying water directly to residences and/or buildings for human consumption. This layer is an instantiation of the spatial view WLS_BC_POD_DRINKING_SOURCES_SVW
Manitoba Waterbody Stocking Records
This dataset contains information on fish stockings since 1917 in Manitoba waterbodies with details on date of stocking, amount of fish, size of fish and species of fish.Stocking Data is a point layer representing individual stocking events dating back to 1917. Each record contains information such as waterbody name, fish species, fish size and quantities, as well as the fishing division of the waterbody. Stocking data is updated multiple times per year as the Province of Manitoba Hatchery conducts stocking. The stocking data layer, along with related information, can be found at the Manitoba Lake Information For Anglers app. The project was initiated by Manitoba Wildlife and Fisheries Branch with funding from the Fish and Wildlife Enhancement Fund. Data is provided by Manitoba Wildlife and Fisheries Branch, Swan Valley Sport Fishing and Manitoba Watershed Districts. For additional information visit Manitoba Fisheries. Drinking Water Sources - Source Areas
Polygon features representing the geographical extent of a source area that contributes water to a drinking water system. A drinking water system is any domestic system servicing anything other than a single-family dwelling, as defined in the Drinking Water Protection Act. Source Area is a broad term used to describe any area that could potentially contribute water to the drinking water system; it does not mean that hydrologic analyses have been completed to determine likelihood of connectivity. These source areas most often represent the entire aquifer extent (for ground water systems) or the watershed upstream from the intake (for surface water systems). This is one of three Drinking Water Sources datasets (along with the DWS - Intakes/Wellheads points dataset, and DWS - Protection Zones polygons dataset). Note: these polygons have unique Source Areas IDs used to relate them to the Intakes/Wellhead points.
