The Non-Permit Area dataset is comprised of all the polygons that represent Non-Permit Areas in Alberta. The Non-Permit Areas are delineated areas where burning permits are not required by clients.

Defined areas allocated by certificate under the British Columbia Wildlife Act to guide outfitters for the purpose of guiding residents, non-residents or non-resident alien hunters to hunt big game species.

This spatial dataset represents the boundaries of areas designated under the [Aggregate Resources Act, R.S.O 1990](https://www.ontario.ca/laws/statute/90a08) where a licence or permit is required for aggregate extraction. Under the Act, all aggregate operations must be licensed on private land or permitted on Crown land. Legally defined __Local Trust Area__ polygons were drawn from metes and bounds descriptions as written in Letters Patent for the Local Trust Areas in the province of British Columbia. Ministry of Transportation District Boundary is an exclusive area within a region that the Ministry organizational unit is responsible for. Each Ministry District is partitioned into one or more non-overlapping Contract Areas that cover the entire Ministry District

This feature class identifies active areas designated for personal use woodcutting where harvesting dead or downed fuelwood can occur for purposes such as home heating. Certain areas have seasonal restrictions or additional terms and conditions. A forest resources permit is required to cut in these areas; this free permit authorizes a limit of 25m 3 (11 cords) of firewood. Outfitting Concessions (OCs) which are also known as Outfitting Areas, are legal boundaries that define an area where the holder of the concession has the exclusive right to outfit non-residents for the purpose of hunting big game animals (excepting special guiding licenses). If a non-resident wishes to hunt in the Yukon they must do so accompanied by a Yukon resident\--either a private individual who does this for free, or a commercial operator who does this as a business(an outfitter). Each outfitter is licensed to operate within a particular OA. There are 20 such concessions in the Yukon\--one per licensed outfitter. OCs are largely (but not always) defined by groupings of Game Management Areas. There are several areas within the Yukon (exclusive of National Parks) which are not covered by OCs. This polygonal dataset represents authorized applications for a Mines Act permit known as a Permitted Mine Area (PMA). This dataset can be used in combination with the NoW point dataset which represents both applications for a Mines Act permit and issued authorizations for mining activities proposed in the application. **The regional mine PMA dataset is not complete for all mine sites in BC. Regional mine permits are issued for mineral and coal exploration activities, sand and gravel production, quarry production, and placer mining. Major mine permits are issued for producing mineral and coal mines. Permits are issued by the chief permitting officer under section 10 of the Mines Act and administered by the ministry. **Regional mines include:** * Exploration — mineral, coal, rock quarry, industrial mineral or dimension stone * Sand and gravel — aggregate, rock or natural substances used for construction purposes * Placer   Most exploration and development activities require a permit under the Mines Act. A decision marks the end of the permitting process for a NoW application.
