RESULTS Openings are administrative boundaries for areas harvested with silviculture obligations or natural disturbances with intended forest management activities on Crown Land. The RESULTS openings_svw is a spatial view made up of a number of tables containing information on disturbance dates, generalized bec, forest district, opening category, opening status, previous tree species, opening gross area, average slope, average elevation, aspect, along with maximum and minimum elevation values, and many more fields.

These are the specific silviculture activities that took place within an opening in order to meet silviculture obligations after a disturbance. These activities may have been conducted over the entire opening or just a portion of the opening, and multiple activities may overlap. Standards Units for an opening represents desired soil conservation limits and stocking outcomes for the defined net area to be reforested. An opening may have one or more standard units. Standards Units may not overlap. Older records may not have standard unit maps available. Stocking standards represent legal silviculture obligations for harvested areas for the defined standard units. This is part of the Silviculture and Land status Tracking dataset, which includes tracking achievement of silviculture obligations on Crown Land

These are the boundaries of disturbance area that underwent forest management activities and are monitored to determine if reforestation obligations were achieved. Openings were derived from forest cover surveys, GPS field data collections, and satellite imagery. An opening's disturbance and silviculture activities reported into RESULTS. Most activities are within opening boundaries with the exception of broadcast treatments. An opening may have more than one activities associated with it. Activities may also overlap each other. Reporting of disturbance and silviculture attribute information is a mandatory requirement while the map is optional. This digital product is developed from a database of published abandoned mine openings for the province of Nova Scotia. The database is maintained by the Nova Scotia Department of Natural Resources and Renewables, Geoscience and Mines Branch. The database provides approximate coordinate locations for many of the abandoned mine openings, and also provides a source reference on each mine opening.

This layer contains attribute Opening information only and can be used in conjunction with other layers. Planting attribute reporting is mandatory requirement while planting maps are optional. Planting reports includes species and seedlot information. This dataset includes all drainage culverts with a n opening diameter of less than 2 metres. Saskatchewan Sport Fish Management Zones as described in the fisheries regulations.Spatial dataset created to represent the provincial sport fishing management zones within Saskatchewan as described in Table 5 of the Fisheries Regulations.  Saskatchewan is divided into three management zones for angling regulations.  Differences in the opening and closing dates for the angling season occur between zones, with certain lakes in each zone having special regulations applied to them.  Consult the Anglers’ Guide for further information on specific dates and/or limits.
