Ministry of Transportation (MOT) Railroad Crossing
A Railroad Crossing is where the road surface is common to both the Railway Authority and the Ministry of Transportation Road Network; also includes overhead and under passes. It is a Point feature
Provincial Obstacles to Fish Passage
The Provincial Obstacles to Fish Passage theme presents records of all known obstacles to fish passage from several fisheries datasets. Records from the following datasets have been included: The Fisheries Information Summary System (FISS); the Fish Habitat Inventory and Information Program (FHIIP); the Field Data Information System (FDIS) and the Resource Analysis Branch (RAB) inventory studies. The main intent of this layer is to have a single layer of all known obstacles to fish passage. It is important to note that not all waterbodies have been studied and, not all lengths of many waterbodies have been studied so there are a very high number of obstacles in the real world that are not recorded in this dataset. This layer simply reports the obstacles to fish that are known. It is also very important to note that we are acknowledging these features as obstacles to fish passage versus barriers to fish passage. This is because an obstacle may be a barrier at one time of year but not at other times depending on the volume of water present and also, what is a barrier to one species of fish is not necessarily a barrier to another species.

Road warning
Localization of warnings such as road and bridge closures or incidents preventing free passage on a road segment or structure.**This third party metadata element was translated using an automated translation tool (Amazon Translate).**
BLKPASSAGE OFFICIAL
BLKPASSAGE_OFFICIAL is one of the important layers for Saskatchewan Upgraded Road Network (SURN) and National Road Network (NRN). The BLKPASSAGE_OFFICIAL provides the information of road blocked passage to clients that require accurate, relatively up-to-date and detailed description of Saskatchewan Road Network.BLKPASSAGE_OFFICIAL, This layer contains data for a structure indicating a physical barrier on a Road Element built to prevent or control further access. BLKPASSAGE_OFFICIAL contains all the blocked passage points in the Saskatchewan. BLKPASSAGE_OFFICIAL is an important part of the Saskatchewan road network dataset. Each point geometry " BLKPASSAGE" has unique Identifiers (NID). "NID" National Identifier is used to manage the updates between data producer and data users.
Shrimp catch and bycatch estimates from trawling and trapping in Clio Channel, British Columbia
These data sets provide information pertaining to shrimp and bycatch estimates associated with beam-trawling and trapping (2001-2002) in Clio Channel. Data sets were compiled and formatted by Meagan Mak.Abstract from report:As part of a project investigating possible modification of marine ecosystems by shrimp trawling and trapping, we enumerated beam trawl and prawn trap catches at two locations in Clio Channel, south -central coast of British Columbia. Beam trawl surveys were conducted in Bones Bay and Turnour Bay during October 2001 and January 2002, respectively, and a prawn trap survey was conducted in Turnour Bay during March 2002. Catch data from the two gear types are presented.
TANTALIS - Crown Land Rights-of-way
TA_CROWN_RIGHTS_OF_WAY_SVW contains the spatial representation (polygon) of active and applied for Statutory Rights-of-way. Statutory rights-of-way are registerable in a Land Titles office, and are normally issued to authorize linear uses of Crown Land for transportation, communication, energy production and utility developments. They grant tenure holders right of passage for specific purposes and certainty respecting access to the land and use of improvements. They do not convey non-exclusive use - exclusivity may be granted for safety reasons. A legal survey is required to define the tenured area. The view was created to provide a simplified presentation of this single tenure type from the disposition information in the Tantalis operational system. The same content could be derived from the TA_CROWN_TENURES_SVW by filtering to this tenure type only
Public Lands Camping Pass Boundary
The Public Lands Camping Pass does not apply in the Kananaskis Conservation Pass area. The pass does not apply to: private, municipal, or federally owned lands. Provincial Parks, Wildland Provincial Parks, Provincial Recreation Areas. Wilderness Areas, Ecological Reserves, Heritage Rangelands, Natural Areas. All acts and regulations will continue to apply including the Recreation Access Regulation that applies to agricultural dispositions. The boundary represents the external boundary of the pass area.
Marine Conservation network sites for the Scotian Shelf-Bay of Fundy
Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) has worked with partners and ocean users to develop a draft conservation network plan for the Scotian Shelf-Bay of Fundy Bioregion. This work led to the 2017 draft conservation network plan. The draft plan was updated after targeted consultations from 2021 to 2022. The latest draft reflects new science information on climate change, updated human-use activities (such as fisheries data), and feedback from consultations. This dataset includes the latest existing and proposed conservation sites in the Scotian Shelf-Bay of Fundy Bioregion. Existing sites:-Marine Protected Areas (MPAs)-Marine refuges-Migratory bird sanctuary, National Wildlife area and National Park with marine componentsProposed sites:-Areas of Interest (AOIs) and their lead agency-Tier 1 sites are a higher priority for implementation because of their ecological characteristics and/or feasibility considerations, such as interest from Rightsholders, other levels of government, marine users and stakeholders. Some of these sites could be selected for advancement by 2030. The lead federal agency is specified for most Tier 1 sites.-Tier 2 sites are also important contributions to the conservation network, but will not be considered for advancement by 2030. Most of these sites require more research and information on ecological features and human uses before implementation.Proposed conservation sites:1 Cobequid Bay2 Southern Bight3 Chignecto Bay4 Salmon Rivers5 Bay of Fundy Horse Mussel Aggregations6 Maces Bay7 Deadmans Harbour8 Bocabec Bay – Midjic Bluff9 Oak Bay10 Tongue Shoal11 Pendleton – Little L’Etete Passage12 Simpsons Island – White Horse Island13 Head Harbour Passage14 Western Passage North15 Western Passage South16 South Campobello17 The Wolves – Wolves Bank18 Northwest Grand Manan19 Long Island Bay – Great Duck Island20 North of Nantucket Island21 Grand Harbour22 Seal Cove – Long Pond Bay23 Southern Head24 Three Islands25 Old Proprietor Shoal – The Prong26 Brier Island27 Lurcher Shoal28 Chebogue29 Eel Bay30 McNutts Island31 Pemsɨk32 LaHave Islands33 Sambro Ledges – Prospect34 Martinique Beach and Musquodoboit Harbour35 St. Mary’s (Napu’saqnuk) River and Estuary36 Country Island37 Canso Ledges – Sugar Harbour Islands38 MacNamaras Island39 Fleur-de-Lis Coast40 Bird Islands41 Ingonish Bays42 Aspy Bay43 Bras d’Or Lake44 Southwest Bank45 Western Jordan Basin46 Georges Bank47 LaHave Basin48 Scotian Gulf49 Central Scotian Slope, Rise and Abyss50 Emerald Basin Extension51 Inner Shelf Sea Pen Field52 Sable Island Bank North53 Sable Island Bank South54 Logan Canyon55 Canso Bank and Channels56 Misaine Bank and Laurentian Channel57 Eastern Shoal58 Cold SeepsBoundaries are preliminary and subject to change following public consultation.
