Slope/Aspect Categories in Mule Deer Winter Range - Cariboo Region
Slope/aspect categories within mule deer winter range in the Cariboo Region.
Thematic Soil Maps of Manitoba
The “Thematic Soil Maps of Manitoba” is a revised and condensed version of the Manitoba Detailed Soils Database produced by CANSIS. It contains data relating to the soils slope, drainage, agricultural capability, erosion potential, and surface texture.
Thematic Soil Maps of Saskatchewan
The “Thematic Soil Maps of Saskatchewan” is a revised and condensed version of the Saskatchewan Detailed Soils Database produced by CANSIS. It contains data relating to the soils slope, drainage, agricultural capability, erosion potential, and surface texture.
Slope/Aspect Habitat Type Limitations in Mule Deer Winter Range – Cariboo Region
Slope/Aspect habitat type limitations (high, moderate, low) in mule deer winter range within the Cariboo Region. These limitations apply only to interior douglas fir (IDF) and bunch grass biogeoclimatic zones within mule deer winter range.
Flammulated Owl Habitat Suitability - Cariboo NR Region
This polygon dataset identifies the habitat suitability rating for Flammulated Owl (FLOW) within the Cariboo Natural Resource Region. The habitat suitability rating is based on Biogeoclimatic Ecosystem Classification (BEC), forest age class, crown closure, tree species, harvest activity, silviculture activity, slope and aspect.
Megahabitats of the St. Lawrence Estuary and Gulf - Personnal Geodatabase
Available information for the Estuary and Gulf of St. Lawrence on salinity, temperature, dissolved oxygen, depth, slope, and variability in landscape and sediments, were aggregated using a grid made up of 100 km2 cells as a basis for mapping and describing marine habitats for conservation and integrated management purposes. For example, 26 variables were selected to describe depth, slope, salinity and temperature. Based on that information, cluster analyses were conducted grouping cells into 13 different megahabitats. Four megahabitats described the deep waters, and areas outside channels formed 9 megahabitats: four in the southern Gulf and five in the northern Gulf.PurposeThe tool proposes a novel way of making validated and integrated data available to end users. Potential applications include the screening of areas considered for inclusion in a network of protected areas and a quantitative assessment of surface areas for each class of habitat. The method can also be applied to describe the habitats of species at risk.Additional InformationSee the report mentioned below for a more detailed description of the treatments for each variable:Dutil, J.-D., Proulx, S., Chouinard, P.-M., and Borcard. D. 2011. A hierarchical classification of the seabed based on physiographic and oceanographic features in the St. Lawrence. Can. Tech. Rep. Fish. Aquat. Sci. 2916: vii + 72 p.
RESULTS - Openings svw
RESULTS Openings are administrative boundaries for areas harvested with silviculture obligations or natural disturbances with intended forest management activities on Crown Land. The RESULTS openings_svw is a spatial view made up of a number of tables containing information on disturbance dates, generalized bec, forest district, opening category, opening status, previous tree species, opening gross area, average slope, average elevation, aspect, along with maximum and minimum elevation values, and many more fields.
Representative Area Ecological Reserve
The Representative Area Ecological Reserves Regulations are part of the Protected Lands of Saskatchewan. The Representative Area Ecological Reserves Regulations are part of the Protected Lands System of Saskatchewan. Selected to represent specific enduring features (specific soil attribute combinations based on soil development, parent material, surface form, slope derived from the Soil Landscapes of Canada, Saskatchewan database, Version 2.1). Areas set to protect ecologically representative areas of Saskatchewan's ecoregions.
Forest Soils
Polygons of Forest Soils Units, including information on drainage, slope, and aspect.
Percentage of population with knowledge of English and French by census subdivision, 2016
This service shows the percentage of population, excluding institutional residents, with knowledge of English and French for Canada by 2016 census subdivision. The data is from the Census Profile, Statistics Canada Catalogue no. 98-316-X2016001.Knowledge of official languages refers to whether the person can conduct a conversation in English only, French only, in both languages or in neither language. For a child who has not yet learned to speak, this includes languages that the child is learning to speak at home. For additional information refer to 'Knowledge of official languages' in the 2016 Census Dictionary. For additional information refer to 'Knowledge of official languages' in the 2016 Census Dictionary. To have a cartographic representation of the ecumene with this socio-economic indicator, it is recommended to add as the first layer, the “NRCan - 2016 population ecumene by census subdivision” web service, accessible in the data resources section below.
