Guide to the consumption of freshwater sport fish
This theme, which lists more than 1,400 fishing sites in Quebec and nearly forty fish species, provides information on the consumption of sport fishing fish according to species and their size. The number of meals is determined on a monthly basis by calculating that one meal is equivalent to a portion of 230 grams before cooking (8 ounces) of freshwater fish caught in Quebec. The main factors in determining the degree of contamination of the flesh of fish caught in a given location are the species and the size: small, medium and large. The recommendations in the data layer take into account both of these factors. The rules presented in it are intended to warn against the risks associated with the consumption of fish in the long term. They are particularly relevant for people who are in the habit of consuming fish frequently. They are valid at all times, unless otherwise advised by public health officials in your area.**This third party metadata element was translated using an automated translation tool (Amazon Translate).**
Timing Windows for Work in and About Waterbodies in the Cariboo Natural Resource Region
Timing windows are the period(s) during the year when work may be carried out in and about water bodies with the lowest risk to fish and wildlife species and habitat. Timing windows and terms and conditions vary based on regional differences in fish and wildlife species and habitat, and geography. The timing window of least risk to fish and fish habitat must be applied to all activities in water bodies, as well as tributaries that have a risk of depositing sediment into water bodies. Windows of least risk are designed to protect all fish species known to occur in a water body.

Manitoba Fish Sheds
Feature layer of Fish Shed locations (Fish Packing Stations) across Manitoba. This feature layer - which is used in the Manitoba Commercial Fishing Industry Map and the Manitoba Commercial Fishing Industry Application - shows the Fish Shed locations (Fish Packing Stations) across Manitoba. This is a point layer that includes the name of the Fish Shed.
BC Historical Fish Distribution - Points (50,000)
Fisheries Information Summary System (FISS) layer of Historic (pre 2001) Fish Distribution Points of BC Streams. Points represent site locations where a fish species is rearing, spawning or observed or where a point is located at the mouth of a stream it indicates the presence of a fish species somewhere in the stream as a whole. Georeferenced to the stream centreline network layer of the 1:50,000 scale BC Watershed Atlas.

Atlantic sturgeon - Important sites - Reproduction, Feeding and Concentration - FHAMIS
Atlantic sturgeon. Important sites: reproduction, feeding juvenile and adult concentration area. Data extracted from the Fish Habitat Management Information System (FHAMIS) according to a literature review of documents produced between 1978 and 2002.
Fish Scale Isopach
These structure, isopach and zero edge files are part of a series of stratigraphic framework maps for the Saskatchewan Phanerozoic Fluids and Petroleum Systems (SPFPS) project. The series of stratigraphic framework maps for the Saskatchewan Phanerozoic Fluids and Petroleum Systems (SPFPS) project have been produced using 2 km equi-spaced modified grids generated from Golden Software’s Surfer 9 kriging algorithm. The dataset used to produce each of the maps in this series was created using data from several projects completed by the Ministry (Christopher, 2003; Saskatchewan Industry and Resources et al., 2004; Kreis et al., 2004; Marsh and Heinemann, 2006; Saskatchewan Ministry of Energy and Resources et al., 2007; Heinemann and Marsh, 2009); these data were validated and edited as required to facilitate correlations between the various regional projects. In addition, to minimize edge effects during contouring, the senior author also generated stratigraphic data from wells in adjacent jurisdictions.
