Growth and Yield Samples - Active Status
**NOTE** This layer is being replaced with the new authoritative source for PSP location: [Growth and Yield Plots - Active Status](https://catalogue.data.gov.bc.ca/dataset/5da8d02e-cdd8-40f8-b77e-d359f0e67dcd) Growth and Yield dataset is a provincial data set that comprised of Permanent Sample Plots (PSP). The Ministries and resource developers will want the active sample locations to determine where there are recognized feature conflicts with any resource development
Tile drainage contractors
This dataset contains a list of licensed tile drainage contractors in Ontario who design and install agricultural tile drainage systems. These contractors hold a valid business license under the [Agricultural Tile Drainage Installation Act, 1990](https://www.ontario.ca/laws/statute/90a14) from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Agribusiness (OMAFA). Contractors with a business license must employ a licensed Class “A” machine operator and have licensed tile drainage machinery. Licenses are renewed annually (expire March 31), and the list is updated annually. The list is maintained by OMAFA and includes company names, contact names, addresses, telephone numbers, and emails.
Forest Inventory Ground Plots - Public Access
The Forest Analysis and Inventory Branch (FAIB) is responsible for coordinating and managing data collection and analyses from a range of different ground sampling programs that collect data on ground plots. This layer shows ground plots from the PSP and VRI programs. **Vegetation Resource Inventory (VRI):** ground samples primarily used to audit and verify key inventory attributes estimated during photo interpretation. These samples are not protected because they will not be revisited. **Permanent Sample Plots (PSP):** subjectively located fixed-area permanent plots, valued for their long-term re-measurement data to support development of growth-and-yield models in unmanaged stands across a range of stand and ecosystem types. Actual GPS coordinates are provided as protection is necessary. - Active PSPs = plot and buffer are protected from harvesting - Inactive PSPs = not protected from harvesting
Tile drainage area
Get the locations of drainage tiles installed by licenced agricultural drainage contractors. As a requirement of the license, each contractor must report the location of new drainage tile areas to the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Agribusiness.
Orthophoto_2021
Orthophoto of the city of Rimouski cut into 1km x 1km tiles with a resolution of 4cm. Available in TIFF and ECW formatsThe URLs to download the tiles can be found in the tile indexes.**This third party metadata element was translated using an automated translation tool (Amazon Translate).**
Growth and Yield Samples - All Status
**NOTE** This dataset is going to be replaced by the Data Catalogue layer: [Forest Inventory Ground Plots - Public Access](https://catalogue.data.gov.bc.ca/dataset/6d6d115f-4cc2-4141-909e-3344b3a72bcf) This new layer links to the updated database for all Forest Analysis and Inventory Branch ground sample plots. Growth and Yield dataset is a provincial data set that comprised of Permanent Sample Plots (PSP). Researchers such as GY modellers and those wanting to know the position of all samples will use the all status view to better understand the spatial distribution of historic measurement data including samples that are currently destroyed or inactive
Forest Management in Canada, 2020: Vector Tile Layer
Forest Management in Canada 2020 Vector Tile LayerThis vector tile layer is used in the Story Map of Forest Management in Canada, 2020.
“Montreal by foot” basemap
This data set presents the basemap developed as part of the Montreal by Foot (MàP) project in a web tiled map service (_Web Tile Map Service_ WTMS). It is made available in order to allow citizens and partners of the City to create web mapping tools by offering a unique graphic charter, designed specifically to promote pedestrian travel. The Montréal à Pied project aims to improve orientation and pedestrian paths throughout Montreal. The selection and classification of places of interest prioritize pedestrian and local travel. This project includes a cartographic component intended to renew the graphic signature of the representation of the City of Montreal, on digital media and on urban furniture receiving maps of the City. The basemap is intended in particular to support the representation of data [Places of interest] (places of interest) also developed under the MàP project and available as open data.**This third party metadata element was translated using an automated translation tool (Amazon Translate).**

Canada Basemap Transportation (CBMT) - Raster Tile
The Canada Basemap Transportation (CBMT) is a raster tile service that provides spatial reference context with an emphasis on transportation networks across Canada. It is designed especially for use as a background layer in a web mapping application or geographic information system (GIS). Access: Access is free of charge under the terms of the Open Government Licence - Canada.Data Sources: Data for the CBMT is sourced from the following datasets:- Topographic data of Canada – CanVec Series- Official names from the Canadian Geographical Names Database (CGNDB).Projections:- Data is provided in the EPSG:3978 (NAD83 Canada Atlas Lambert) projected coordinate system.- Data is provided in the EPSG:3857 (WGS84 Pseudo-Mercator) projected coordinate system.Geographic Coverage: - The CBMT in the EPSG:3857 has complete coverage of the world, with full datasets in Canada and only partial data in other parts of the world including boundaries, Country Names, and major cities.- The CBMT in the EPSG:3978 covers the entire geographic area of Canada and some major transportation routes and cities in the northern States of the USA.Additional Versions: - The CBMT is available as a dynamic service (WMS) or a tiled service (ESRI REST and WMTS). - A geometry-only version (CBMT GEOM) and a text-only version (CBMT TXT) are available. - French versions of the basemap are accessible via the Carte de base du Canada - Transport (CBCT).
