Communities and subdivisions - surveyed
Features are Administrative Land Objects that represent the spatial extents of a jurisdiction that is created and managed as a separate entity within the ICM database. Un-derived Administrative Areas include QUADs, Groups, Subdivisions, Municipalities, Block Land Transfers, Settlement Areas, Districts and Regions. Un-derived Administrative Areas also include the spatial extent of site that do not have a specific administrative boundary such as Indian settlements and national historic sites. In the LYR files for CSW, the QUADs & Groups were removed with a Query Builder. This cadastral framework provides a parcel base of properly structured vector data designed and suited for Geographical Information System (GIS) application and can be used for land management purposes. This data set is not be used for defining boundaries. Administrative decisions should be based on legal documents and legal survey plans.Distributed from [GeoYukon](https://yukon.ca/geoyukon) by the [Government of Yukon](https://yukon.ca/maps) . Moose Conservation Closures 2022
The purpose of this dataset is to give an accurate representation of the boundaries of lands closed to hunting in Manitoba. The purpose of this dataset is to give an accurate representation of the boundaries of lands closed to hunting in Manitoba. These are defined as lands where hunting and trapping are either prohibited, or special restrictions are in place for certain species and areas are defined within the General Hunting Regulation (351/87), Moose Conservation Closure Regulation (122/2011), Hunting Seasons and Bag Limits Regulation (165/91), and Trapping of Wild Animals Regulation (245/90) of The Wildlife Act (C.C.S.M c. W130). Hunting and trapping prohibitions or restrictions are implemented in certain areas to ensure the conservation of species or enhance public safety. Fields included (Alias (Field Name): Field description) FID (OBJECTID): Sequential unique whole numbers that are automatically generated Id (Id): The number assigned to each restricted area (not currently being used) Name (Name): Name given to the restricted area Restrictions (Restrictions): Description of the restriction applied to the restricted area Director of Surveys Plan (D_of_S): Director of Surveys Plan number which pertains to the boundary of the restricted area Regulation (Regulation): The regulation title defined in The Wildlife Act Shape_Area (Shape_Area): Area of the feature in internal units squared Shape_Length (Shape_Length): Length of the feature in internal units

Hydrokinetic Resource Assessment: Open Water Regions in Ice-Covered Rivers for Off-grid Diesel-Reliant Communities
This dataset uses RADARSAT Constellation Mission (RCM) Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellite images to identify open water regions within ice-covered rivers during winter, with the aim to assess hydrokinetic resources near remote communities reliant on diesel fuel for electricity generation. The data is processed with the HyRASS, a machine learning-based SAR image processing and classification algorithm.Disclaimer:This dataset was designed to identify open water regions within ice-covered rivers for assessing hydrokinetic resources near remote communities reliant on diesel fuel for electricity generation and is subject to the following limitations: • This dataset was derived from RADARSAT Constellation Mission (RCM) Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellite images. While these images are generally reliable, they are subject to inherent limitations, including resolution constraints, potential distortion, and occasional inaccuracies in real-time conditions capture. • The HyRASS algorithm is designed to pinpoint open water areas using satellite images, with a particular emphasis on RCM quad polarization (QP) imagery. This specialization means that its effectiveness depends on the accessibility of this specific type of imagery. Consequently, the data it produces might not cover a broad spectrum of time periods. For more reliable results, it's essential to classify areas more regularly, ensuring that detected open water regions are consistent over time. This dataset is intended for preliminary assessment and should not be the sole basis for making critical decisions or investments related to hydrokinetic energy projects. Further validation and in-depth analysis are strongly recommended, and users should conduct their own due diligence and additional research to verify the data accuracy and relevance for specific applications. Digital orthorectified imagery acquired at a variety of image resolutions, available in New Brunswick Stereographic Double Projection (NBSDP).
Collection - Mosaic of High Resolution Digital Elevation Model (HRDEM) at 2m
The High Resolution Digital Elevation Model (HRDEM) Mosaic represents the current and continous coverage of high-resolution elevation data available in Canada. This version of the mosaic, available at a spatial resolution of 2 meters, is a combination of DEM data from airborne LiDAR (mainly in the south) and satellite imagery (in the north). This data collection includes a digital surface model (DSM) available for the entire coverage, and a digital terrain model (DTM) available only where LiDAR data coverage exists. The mosaic product is referenced to the Canadian Geodetic Vertical Datum 2013 (CGVD2013). The data in this collection have been reprojected from the source reference system to the Canada Atlas Lambert projection (EPSG:3979). In case of overlap between data sources, pixel values are set according to the most recent source. **This third party metadata element follows the Spatio Temporal Asset Catalog (STAC) specification.**
