Recreation Line
This is a spatial layer showing Ministry of Forests Recreation Lines. These are the linear spatial representation for features such as recreation trails
Manitoba Parks - Winter Trails and Recreation Areas
Web app showing locations and current conditions of trails and recreation areas designated for winter use in Manitoba provincial parks. This is a web app showing locations and current conditions of trails and recreation areas designated for winter use in Manitoba provincial parks. The current conditions of these features can be found in the pop-up information for each location, along with a list of designated activities for the feature. Activities include walking, skiing, skate skiing, skijoring, dog sledding, ice skating, fat biking, tobogganing, snowshoeing, and jam-pail curling. The app includes a filter to narrow the results by activity. This app uses the interactive map Manitoba Parks - Winter Activity Trails Map, and the layers Manitoba Parks - Winter Trails and Recreation Areas and Manitoba Parks - Winter Recreation Trails. For more information on winter activities, visit the Manitoba Parks website.
Manitoba Parks - Winter Recreation Trails
Polyline feature layer of winter trails in Manitoba provincial parks. This feature layer contains polylines showing locations of winter trails in Manitoba provincial parks. Winter trails are those trails designated for certain winter activities, such as cross-country skiing, skijoring, skate-skiing, fat biking, and dog sledding. Most of these trails are groomed by Manitoba Parks staff throughout the season. This layer is used in the interactive map Manitoba Parks - Winter Activity Trails Map and the web app Manitoba Parks - Winter Trails and Recreation Areas. The dataset includes the following fields (Alias (Name): Description) Trail Name (Trail_Name): Name of the trail Park Name (Park_Name): Name of the provincial park where the trail is located Winter Use (Winter_Use): Indicates whether or not the trail is designated for winter use (Note: All features in this layer have a value of 'Yes') For more information about winter activities, visit the Manitoba Parks website.
Recreation Polygons
The spatial representation of a recreation feature. This can be either a recreation reserve, recreation site, or an interpretative forest
Public Land Recreation Area
The Public Land Recreation Area dataset is comprised of all the polygons that represent Public Land Recreation Areas in Alberta. A Public Land Recreation Area is an area of recreation land designated under the authority of Section 179 of the Public Lands Administration Regulation under the Public Lands Act. Public Land Recreation Area was formerly known as Forest Recreation Area under the Forest Recreation Regulation under the Forests Act. No changes to the Forest Recreation Area data layer were made when it was migrated to become the Public Land Recreation Area dataset.
Recreational Features Inventory
The RFI identifies areas of land and water encircling a recreation feature or combination of features that support, or have the potential to support, one or more recreation activities. These areas are rated for their significance or importance to recreation and for their sensitivity to alteration
Historic Trail Areas of British Columbia
This dataset contains spatial and tabular data on non-archaeological historic trails in B.C. Some of these trails, or sections of trail, are defined or protected under provincial legislation such as the Heritage Conservation Act. Other trails or trail segments are recorded but not legally protected. This dataset represents polygon feature data (e.g. cleared areas associated with trails).
