Forest Resources Management Plans - 250k
The purpose of this feature class is to identify the individual annual allowable cut and annual limit areas as referred to in the Forest Resources Act subsection 20(2) and 31(10 of the Forest Resources Regulation). Where there is no approved Forest Resources Management Plan (FRMP) for an area, forest resources harvesting can only be authorized in an amount less than that prescribed by regulation for that area. The Forest Resources Regulation subsection 31(1) establishes the annual limits for harvesting timber resources for areas without an FRMP. These areas are referred to as the Annual Limit Regions in Schedule 1 of the Regulation titled Timber Harvesting Areas. These annual limits are set as the annual allowable cut for each of the areas, until such time as a Forest Resources Management Plan is approved for that area.Distributed from [GeoYukon](https://yukon.ca/geoyukon) by the [Government of Yukon](https://yukon.ca/maps) . Landscape Management Units - 250k
The purpose of this feature class is to identify the forest resources management zones within a Forest Resources Management Plan, as per subsection 2(h) of the Forest Resources Regulation. These sub-divided smaller forest planning areas or landscape units are based on watershed boundaries and modified by local access and development patterns. They usually contain similar management concerns and forest types. The units form the boundaries for detailed information gathering, monitoring and planning.Distributed from [GeoYukon](https://yukon.ca/geoyukon) by the [Government of Yukon](https://yukon.ca/maps) . Waste Management Site
This new data class brings over data from the Waste Management Information System (WMIS), which is an MS Access based database used by MNR to track Waste Management Sites. This was married with the spatial data from Waste Disposal Sites where possible Different Waste Disposal Site types collected by the Ministry of Natural Resources include: * Compost Disposal * Hazardous Waste Disposal * Household Waste Disposal * Industrial Waste Disposal * Septic Drying Bed * Septic Field * Sewage Disposal * Tile Bed * Transfer Station This product requires the use of GIS software. *[GIS]: geographic information system *[MNR]: Ministry of Natural Resources *[WMIS]: Waste Management Information System *[MS]: Microsoft
Oil and Gas Facility Location Applications
Facilities are an oil and gas activity, defined in the Energy Resources Activities Act as a system of vessels, piping, valves, tanks and other equipment used to gather, process, measure, store or dispose of petroleum, natural gas, water or a substance referred to in paragraph (d) or (e) of the definition of pipeline. This dataset contains point features for proposed applications collected through the BC Energy Regulator's Application Management System (AMS). This dataset is updated nightly.
Registered Fur Management Area
The Registered Fur Management Area dataset is comprised of all the polygons that represent the Registered Fur Management Areas in Alberta. A Registered Fur Management Area (RFMA) is a parcel of public land, the boundary of which is described on the Registered Fur Management Licence. A Registered Fur Management Licence permits the licence holder to hunt and trap fur-bearing animals on the lands described on the licence.
AEP Parks Operations Division Management Area Boundaries
This dataset contains boundaries of Management Areas, which are geographic areas of managerial responsibility within Parks Operations Division, Alberta Environment and Protected Areas. Management Areas are groupings of Districts, which are geographic areas of operational responsibility within Parks Operations Division. Parks Operations Division Districts nest within Management Areas, which in turn nest within Regions. These boundaries are administrative/operational in nature, and are subject to change.
Ministry of Natural Resources Region
Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) regions were created to help manage ministry programs and resources at a regional level. Extents of the regions were originally compiled by description of: metes and bounds, topographic features, geographic township boundaries, territorial district boundaries, etc. MNR regions consist of a number of districts. This product requires the use of geographic information system (GIS) software.
Manitoba Forest Management Units – Version 4
This feature class represents Manitoba's Forest Management Unit (FMU) boundaries.Forest Management Units (FMU's) define a forested area with common forest conditions that are managed in a similar manner. Forest Sections are comprised of FMU's. Forest inventories within Forest Management Units are analysed to determine allowable harvest limits of softwood and hardwood tree species within each Forest Management Unit. Version 3: The southern portion of FMU 67 within the Highrock Forest Section has been adjusted to align with base features captured in 2009. Additionally, an 11 hectare portion of the Saskatchewan River Forest Section (FMU 59) has been added to the Highrock Forest Section. Version 4: The northern portion of FMU 68 along the Rail Haul within the Highrock Forest Section has been adjust so that the boundary falls within water only. Additionally, version 4 splits the 'White Zone' forest section (FMU 76) by ecozones, creating FMU 76 (Taiga Shield), FMU 77 (Southern Arctic), FMU 78 (Hudson Plain) and FMU 79 (Boreal Shield). Version 4 is dated February 8, 2013. Fields Included: OBJECTID: Sequential unique whole numbers that are automatically generated . MANAGEMENT_UNIT_NUMBER : Management Unit (MU) number . S ECTION : Forest section number . SECTION_NAME : Forest section name .
AEP Parks Operations Division District Boundaries
This dataset contains district boundaries representing geographic areas of operational responsibility within Parks Operations Division, Alberta Environment and Protected Areas. Parks Operations Division Districts nest within Parks Operations Division Management Areas, which are areas of managerial responsibility within Parks Operations Division. Management Areas in turn nest within Parks Operations Division Regions. These boundaries are administrative/operational in nature, and are subject to change.
Petroleum wells
The locations of wells that have been drilled for oil production, gas or salt resources or for underground storage of hydrocarbons. This data can be used for land use and resource management, emergency management, as well as compliance and enforcement in the petroleum industry. The Data is collected on an on-going basis and maintained in the Ontario Petroleum Data System (OPDS).
