This data is used for referencing spatial and tabular Forest Resource Processing Facility information. Each facility has one or more processing sites, each dedicated to processing resources for a specific purpose. For example, a pulp, paper and paperboard facility has one processing site to produce pulp, and another one dedicated to producing paper. All facilities that use 1,000 cubic metres or more of forest resources in one year must have a facility licence. This data class has been remodeled in 2014 to make it more flexible as a stand-alone product.

This dataset is a combination of landscape unit, biogeoclimatic zone/subzone/variants and Cariboo Chilcotin Land Use Plan (CCLUP) leading group type (PineGroup or FirGroup) used to roll up seral stage assessments in the Cariboo Natural Resource Region. This dataset covers Forest Resource Inventories between 2001 and 2004. It includes: * stand regeneration * harvested trees * trees lost to wildfire, insects, disease or wind damage Information from forest resource inventories provides the basis for major forest resource planning and ministry policy decisions.

Forest resource roads (FRR) are actively used for accessing forest resources. FRRs are tracked and managed in a road management database. These roads do not represent a complete road network, they should be viewed in conjunction with the Roads -50k - Canvec dataset. Many FRRs are gated with controlled access. There are four categories of roads in the dataset: Forest Resource Roads (act); Forest Resource Access (non-act), Public Access (non-act) and auxiliary roads:- Forest resources road (Act): a road constructed, modified or maintained for the purpose of providing access for forest resources harvesting or management of forest resources that is authorized under subsection 32(1) of the Act, or a road designated as forest resources road under section 73 of the Regulation. These roads were constructed or designated after the Forest Resources Act and Regulation were enacted. - Forest resource access (non-Act): a road constructed, modified or maintained for the purpose of providing access for forest resources harvesting or management of forest resources that is considered a capital investment by the Government of Yukon, Department of Energy, Mines and Resources, Forest Management Branch. These roads were constructed prior to the enactment of the Forest Resources Act. - Public Access (non act): a pre-existing public road. In this road network all Public Access is part of the forest resource access network. - Auxiliary access: a variety of access types that do not conform to the above descriptions and may include: research forest trails, skid trails, heritage trails, trails that access forest resources. The purpose of this feature class is to identify the individual annual allowable cut and annual limit areas as referred to in the Forest Resources Act subsection 20(2) and 31(10 of the Forest Resources Regulation). Where there is no approved Forest Resources Management Plan (FRMP) for an area, forest resources harvesting can only be authorized in an amount less than that prescribed by regulation for that area. The Forest Resources Regulation subsection 31(1) establishes the annual limits for harvesting timber resources for areas without an FRMP. These areas are referred to as the Annual Limit Regions in Schedule 1 of the Regulation titled Timber Harvesting Areas. A comprehensive and up-to-date dataset of Mineral Resource Statements, including NI 43-101, JORC, and historic deposits in the Yukon. Resource statements have been grouped and calculations have been made to average and total the tonnage and grade for a property.

The Integrated Resource Plan - Local dataset is comprised of all the polygons that represent the Local Integrated Resource Plans (IRP) in Alberta. A Local IRP provides land resource management direction for a relatively smaller geographic planning area. A Local Plan is developed to provide more detailed land and resource use parameters than may be available in a Sub-Regional Plan. An IRP is a plan which identifies the values and associated land and resource management goals for the planning area in consideration of the maintenance of social, economic, and ecological values. An IRP provides direction regarding the type of land and resource management activity that would facilitate meeting the stated objectives in the planning area (e.g. recreation, grazing, industrial and commercial activities). The public was often involved in contributing input to the development of an IRP. IRPs were endorsed by the Government of Alberta in various periods.

California and Steller sealion haulout sites. Coastal Resource Information Management System (CRIMS) is a legacy dataset of BC coastal resource data that was acquired in a systematic and synoptic manner from 1979 and was intermittently updated throughout the years. Resource information was collected in nine study areas using a peer-reviewed provincial Resource Information Standards Committee consisting of DFO Fishery Officers, First Nations, and other subject matter experts. There are currently no plans to update this legacy data.

This dataset is often used by users without access to the Provincial Forest Resource Inventory data, which contains information like municipalities and non-profit groups not affiliated with monitoring or maintaining the Forest Resource Inventory.
