Consented Rights Territories (TDC)
Territories in the domain of the State over which granted rights include wood volume assignments defined by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forests (MRNF).There are different types of rights granted depending on the purpose (s) of use (s): -Guarantees of supply (GA), wood harvesting permits for the purpose of supplying a wood processing plant (PRAU), biomass PRAU (PRBIO) and delegation agreements (EDs) on the local forest (FP) or on residual forest territories allow forest management activities according to the various legal documents issued by the MRNF.-Education and Research Forests (FER) allow forest management activities for teaching and research purposes according to the contract issued by the MRNF.-The Duchesnay Forest Station (STF) allows forest management activities for teaching, research and tourism purposes according to the contract issued by the MRNF.-Territorial management agreements (CGT) on residual forest territories allow forest management activities and land management in accordance with the agreement issued by the MRNF.-Category 1 (TC1) lands are subject to property rights under conditions dedicated to Indigenous nations under the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement and provide a framework for forest management activities. __Important:__ The MRNF does not issue any forest rights on these lands but the volume associated with the forest possibility of these lands is recorded in the SYMPA system. These territorial data come from the MRNF STF system, which is __the official source__ of this geographic information, except for residual forest territories with management agreements (CGT) as well as category 1 land (TC1). Active __granted rights__ are established according to the MRNF SYMPA system. It is possible to identify the various beneficiaries __of active rights only__, i.e. from the STF_beneficiaries table. This table is fed by the SYMPA system, which establishes forest rights and the volumes allocated to them. Correspondence between a territory under granted law and the beneficiaries is possible by relating the table and the data set by the territory number (NO_TERRI).**This third party metadata element was translated using an automated translation tool (Amazon Translate).**
BCGS 1:2,500 Mapsheet Grid - NAD 27
BCGS 1:2,500 scale grid, North Amercian Datum 1927. The British Columbia Geographic System is a geographic system in which the coverage in minutes and seconds of longitude is double the coverage in minutes and seconds of latitude for sheets at all scales. This particular grid was generated in the older NAD27 datum to replicate historic Water Rights paper maps used by surface water rights management program
Oil and Gas Rights
The Oil and Gas Rights dataset contains the digital boundaries for existing exploration licences, significant discovery licences, production licences, former permits, former leases and the Norman Wells Proven Area. These boundaries are available for download on the Northern petroleum pesources Website at https://www.rcaanc-cirnac.gc.ca/eng/1100100036087/1538585604719.The Oil and Gas Rights dataset is Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada (CIRNAC) and Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) primary source for northern petroleum titles geographic location on maps.
Crown Land Reservations
A Crown land reservation is a tool under Section 18(c) of the Public Lands Act, to identify a management intent that will inform and provide direction to potential land users and regulatory bodies as authorized under the Public Lands Act. A reservation is not a disposition, does not grant any rights to public land or rights to access or occupy public land or rights to the resources on the land or under it. The Crown Land Reservations dataset displays reservations under application or active with their associated data attributes allowing users to view and access existing or proposed reservation information that could influence their application if a proposed activity intersects. More information can be found at www.alberta.ca/land-use-reservation-program.aspx
TANTALIS - Crown Land Rights-of-way
TA_CROWN_RIGHTS_OF_WAY_SVW contains the spatial representation (polygon) of active and applied for Statutory Rights-of-way. Statutory rights-of-way are registerable in a Land Titles office, and are normally issued to authorize linear uses of Crown Land for transportation, communication, energy production and utility developments. They grant tenure holders right of passage for specific purposes and certainty respecting access to the land and use of improvements. They do not convey non-exclusive use - exclusivity may be granted for safety reasons. A legal survey is required to define the tenured area. The view was created to provide a simplified presentation of this single tenure type from the disposition information in the Tantalis operational system. The same content could be derived from the TA_CROWN_TENURES_SVW by filtering to this tenure type only
Manitoba Forest Management Licence Agreement Areas – Version 3
This feature class represents Manitoba's Forest Management Licence (FML) boundaries. The Forest Act provides for the establishment of Forest Management Licences to provide a continuous supply of timber to the forest industry. A Forest Management Licence, granted for a period of not more than twenty years, may be renewed for further periods. The Forest Management Licence describes the land upon which trees may be cut, the volume of wood that may be harvested, and other terms and conditions. There are currently two Forest Management Licences in Manitoba, FML-2 and FML-3 . Timber management and forest renewal are the responsibilities of Manitoba Sustainable Government on Crown Forest Land outside of Forest Management Licence areas, and within Forest Management Licence areas where the wood is used by a facility other than that operated by the Forest Management Licensee. Version 3 of Manitoba's Forest Management Licence (FML) boundaries includes FML-2 and FML-3. Previous boundaries associated with FML-1 and IWSA's have been removed. To update and improve the positional accuracy of Manitoba's Forest Management Licence (FML) boundaries, written descriptions of FML areas were referenced along with linework from Forest Land Inventories (FLI), Forest Resource Inventories (FRI) and Manitoba's township fabric to improve Provincial FML boundaries. Boundary linework the following related geospatial datasets were topologically checked for coincident linework: Manitoba Provincial Boundary; Manitoba Forest Management Units ; Manitoba Forest Management Licence Agreement Areas; Manitoba Forest Sections; Manitoba Provincial Forests . Fields Included: FML_NAME : Forest Management Licence area name.
Forest Management Unit
Ontario's Crown forest is divided into geographic planning areas, known as forest management units. Most of these units are managed by individual forest companies under a Sustainable Forest License. A forest management unit is identified by an assigned official name (e.g., Black Spruce Forest) and a unique numeric code. Before any forestry activities can take place in a management unit, there must be an approved forest management plan in place for each management unit. Instructions for downloading this dataset: This product requires the use of geographic information system (GIS) software.
TANTALIS - Crown Land Licenses
TA_CROWN_LICENSES_SVW contains the spatial representation (polygon) of active and applied for Land Act Licences. Land Act Licences (chapter 245) is not registerable, does not require a survey, possesses fewer rights than a lease and conveys non-exclusive use. The view was created to provide a simplified presentation of this single tenure type from the disposition information in the Tantalis operational system. The same content could be derived from the TA_CROWN_TENURES_SVW by filtering to this tenure type only
AEP Parks Operations Division Management Area Boundaries
This dataset contains boundaries of Management Areas, which are geographic areas of managerial responsibility within Parks Operations Division, Alberta Environment and Protected Areas. Management Areas are groupings of Districts, which are geographic areas of operational responsibility within Parks Operations Division. Parks Operations Division Districts nest within Management Areas, which in turn nest within Regions. These boundaries are administrative/operational in nature, and are subject to change.
Forest Management Agreement Published Area
This dataset is produced for the Government of Alberta and is available to the general public. The Forest Management Agreement (FMA) Published Area dataset consists of polygons representing the areas of land where the Province of Alberta grants FMA holders the rights to establish, grow, harvest, and remove timber in accordance with the relevant regulations and policies. Please note that the distribution contact differs for the general public compared to Government of Alberta ministries. Refer to the Distribution Information section of this metadata for the appropriate contact to acquire this dataset.
