JUNCTION_OFFICIAL is one of the important layers for Saskatchewan Upgraded Road Network (SURN) and National Road Network (NRN). The JUNCTION_OFFICIAL provides the information of road intersections to clients that require accurate, relatively up-to-date and detailed description of Saskatchewan Road Network.JUNCTION_OFFICIAL, A point has been generated at the intersection of three or more road segments, Ferry connection, National/Provincial/Territory boundary and at the dead end of the road. JUNCTION_OFFICIAL contains all the road intersection points in the Saskatchewan. JUNCTION_OFFICIAL is an important part of the Saskatchewan road network dataset. Each point geometry "JUNCTION" has unique Identifiers (NID). "NID" National Identifier is used to manage the updates between data producer and data users.
ROADSEG
ROADSEG is one of the important layers for Saskatchewan Upgraded Road Network (SURN) and National Road Network (NRN). The ROADSEG is created to serve a diverse group of clients that require relatively up-to-date and accurate description of Saskatchewan Road Network.ROADSEG contains all the features from HIGHWAY_OFFICIAL, RURAL_ROAD_OFFICIAL and OTHER_ROAD_OFFICIAL. ROADSEG is the Saskatchewan road network data that is being used by NRCAN as National Road Network (NRN). ROADSED data layer has been generated by merging HIGHWAY_OFFICIAL, RURAL_ROAD_OFFICIAL and OTHER_ROAD_OFFICIAL. Unique Identifiers (NID) is associated with each line segment. "NID" National Identifier is used to manage the updates between data producer and data users. ROADSEG data layer is one of the important data table for SURN, NRN, SASK911, CAR, SGI-iHaul and other applications.
OTHERROAD OFFICIAL
OTHERROAD_OFFICIAL provides the geospatial information of urban road network in the Province of Saskatchewan. It is one of the base layer used to create "Roadseg" layer for Saskatchewan Upgraded Road Network (SURN) and National Road Network (NRN). This data layer contains relatively up-to-date and accurate description of all urban roads in the provinceOTHERROAD_OFFICIAL consists of all the roads within the urban limits and any other roads those are not the part of RURALROAD_OFFICIAL and HIGHWAY_OFFICIAL. Original geometry of this layer is derived from National Road Network data layer. Urban Municipalities are responsible of the correctness and currentness of the Urban road network and Saskatchewan Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure (MHI) maintained OTHERROAD_OFFICIAL data layer/table according to the NRN standards. Unique Identifiers (NID) is associated with each line segment. "OTHER_ROAD_ID" is an auto generated unique ID for each road segment in OTHER_ROAD_OFFICIAL. "NID" National Identifier is used to manage the updates between data producer and data users. OTHERROAD_OFFICIAL data layer is one of the important data table for SURN, NRN, SASK911, CAR and other applications.
RURALROAD OFFICIAL
RURALROAD_OFFICIAL provides the geospatial information of rural municipal road network in the Province of Saskatchewan. It is one of the base layer used to create "Roadseg" layer for Saskatchewan Upgraded Road Network (SURN) and National Road Network (NRN). This data layer contains relatively up-to-date and accurate description of all RM roads in the provinceRURALROAD_OFFICIAL consists of Rural Municipal (RM) road system in Saskatchewan. RM road system is based on the Dominion Lands Survey. Original geometry of this layer is derived from National Road Network data layer. Rural Municipalities are the responsible of the correctness and currentness of the day and Saskatchewan Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure (MHI) maintained this data layer/table according to the NRN standards. This data layer is based on the Linear Reference System (LRS) concepts. KM_FROM and KM_TO fields store the start point and the end point at Kilometer information of the line segment. Unique Identifiers NID) is associated with each line segment. The "DESRD_PPID" is the combination of RM Number, Project Number and Road Type (224-201-10). RURALROAD_ID auto generated unique ID for each rural road segment. "NID" National Identifier is used to manage the updates between data producer and data users. RURALROAD_OFFICIAL data layer is one of the important data table for SURN, NRN, SASK911, CAR and other applications.
Manitoba Road Network 2016
Highway Planning and Design's 2016 Manitoba Road Network.The 2016 Manitoba Road Network was created by Manitoba Infrastructure --> Highway Engineering--> Highway Planning and Design. The department’s linear referencing system (LRS) uses Control Sections as a linear referencing method (LRM). The LRM is the digital representation of the Highway Network in Manitoba. The features indicate highway number and highway identity. This data was corrected using 1:60,000 digital ortho aerial photography dated from 1991-1998. Linear features have been updated on a yearly basis using GPS data, CAD files and 50cm imagery from 2007-2014, and is considered accurate to two-to-seven metres. Please note that this feature layer primarily contains only the roads that Manitoba Infrastructure is responsible for, i.e. Provincial Trunk Highways, Provincial Roads and Access Roads. However, you may also see Earth Roads (under construction) or Other roads (such as those passing through national parks and are federal responsibility). A newer version of this data is available: Manitoba Road Network 2018. Field List - FIELD NAME (Field Alias (i.e. display name)) in parenthesis) OBJECTID (OBJECTID) - Sequential, unique whole numbers are automatically generated. SHAPE (SHAPE) - A field to hold geometry information. ID (ID) - Unique Identifier generated by Oracle. CS_ID (Control Section ID) - Non unique identifier linking segment to its respective control section. ROAD_NO_SIGNED (Road Number Signed) - The road number. Note though, that in the case of co-routes, the lower highway number appears. This is a text field and differs from ROAD_NO only where there are city routes, for example 1A. ROAD_LOCATION (Road Location) - Access Road locations. DESCRIPTION (Road Description) - A text description of the start and end locations of each segment. CS_KEY (Control Section Key) - An information rich key containing Region (two digits), Road Number (three digits), Section number (three digits), the Road Type (one character), and direction of travel (one character). REGION_NO (MI Region) - The Manitoba Infrastructure region the segment is in. Regions 1-5. ROAD_NO (Road Number) - The road number. Note co-routes will have the lesser highway number. NATIONAL_HIGHWAY_CLASS (National Highway Classification) - The national highway classification standard. START_DATE (Start Date) - The date the segment was created in the database.
