Border crossings
Border crossings are a feature included on the Official Road Map of Ontario (ORM) for information purposes to the travelling public. Included are highway-land and ferry crossings. It was created as part of the Digital Cartographic Reference Base (DCRB) for the production of the ORM.
Forest Tenure Road Segment Lines
Uniquely identifies all road segments within a road section
Ministry of Transportation (MOT) Railroad Crossing
A Railroad Crossing is where the road surface is common to both the Railway Authority and the Ministry of Transportation Road Network; also includes overhead and under passes. It is a Point feature
Forest Road Segment Tenure
Uniquely identifies a 75 metre wide road tenure. This layer uses the centre line from the application and is buffered 37.5 metres either side. This layer does not represent the actual road on the ground. It represents where the application area is
Ontario Dam Inventory
The Ontario Dam Inventory (ODI) is an inventory of medium and large dams throughout Ontario. It uses a point-based system (x, y location) to identify each dam location. The ODI does not contain: * small dams * small water control structures * beaver dams * water crossings * road embankments * locks * falls * rapids * culverts Each dam location has an identifier that can be used to link to other dam information databases.
Road structures
Main road structures such as bridges and interchangers.attributes:ID - Unique identifierSubtype - Item subtypeName - Name of the road structure**This third party metadata element was translated using an automated translation tool (Amazon Translate).**
Transport Networks in Canada - CanVec Series - Transport Features
The transport features of the CanVec series are derived from the National Road Network (NRN) and the National Railway Network (NRWN). The dataset describes roads, trails, bridges, railroads and their related information. The transport features include nautical facilities, track segments, track junctions, railway stations, track crossings, track marker posts, track structures, rail ferry segments, road segments, road ferry segments, road junctions, blocked passages, toll points, aerial cableway features, footbridges, trails, navigational aids, marinas and runways. The CanVec multiscale series is available as prepackaged downloadable files and by user-defined extent via a Geospatial data extraction tool.Related Products (Open Maps Links):[Topographic Data of Canada - CanVec Series](https://open.canada.ca/data/en/dataset/8ba2aa2a-7bb9-4448-b4d7-f164409fe056)
Road Point Events
This layer contains point representation of bridge, tunnel and ferry events along the Alberta road network.
Aggregate roadway and intersection (Road Assets Database)
The Roads database includes an inventory of road assets (roadways, blocks, intersections, sidewalks, curbs) with a spatial representation and various attached information.Aggregate pavement assets represent carriageways located in the public domain and that are part of the local or arterial road network. Aggregate pavements are represented by polygons that are aggregated by type of use.Among the information associated with a pavement object is the date of construction, the date of resurfacing, the date of survey, the materials of the pavement, the type of foundation, the presence of a bicycle lane, the use, etc.Intersecting road assets represent road crossings located in public areas that are part of the local or arterial road network. Intersections are represented by polygons that are cut according to the number of traffic axes.Information associated with an intersecting object includes the construction date, resurfacing date, survey date, intersection materials, foundation type, presence of bike lanes, etc.Data is also available in separate sets on the portal to support several uses:- [Road asset (complete database)] (/city-of-montreal/road-active)- [Sidewalk and island] (/city-of-montreal/voirie-trottoir-ilot)- [Off-road zone] (/city-of-montreal/voirie-zone) __Warnings__- The data released on road assets are those in the possession of the City's geomatics team and are not necessarily up to date throughout the territory.- The data released on road assets is provided for information purposes only and should not be used for the purposes of designing or carrying out works or for the location of assets.**This third party metadata element was translated using an automated translation tool (Amazon Translate).**
Ministry of Transportation (MOT) Highway Profile
A Highway Profile defines the number of through travel lanes, including passing and truck lanes, and whether the road is divided or not. It is a Linear feature
