The Marine Biodiversity Observation Network Pole to Pole (MBON P2P) effort seeks to develop a framework for the collection, use and sharing of marine biodiversity data in a coordinated, standardized manner leveraging on existing infrastructure managed by the Global Ocean Observing System (GOOS; IOC-UNESCO), the GEO Biodiversity Observation Network (GEO BON), and the Ocean Biogeographic Information System (OBIS). The MBON Pole to Pole aims to become a key resource for decision-making and management of living resource across countries in the Americas for reporting requirements under the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES), Aichi Targets of the Convention of Biological Diversity (CBD), and the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).This collection corresponds to the species registered on sandy beaches of the Musquash Harbour, Mispec Bay, and New River Beach, New Brunswick, Canada, using the MBON P2P sampling protocol for sandy beaches, with funding from the Government of Canada's Coastal Environmental Baseline Program.Citation: Reinhart B, Jonah L (2025). As part of the International Polar Year (IPY) 2007'08 and 2008'09 activities, and related objectives of the Commission for the Geological Map of the World (CGMW), nations of the circumpolar Arctic have co-operated to produce a new bedrock geology map and related digital map database at a scale of 1:5 000 000. The map, released in north polar stereographic projection using the World Geodetic System (WGS) 84 datum, includes complete geological and physiographic coverage of all onshore and offshore bedrock areas north of latitude 60° north.

Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) conducts research and undertakes monitoring surveys of the marine and freshwater environment in support of sustainable fisheries, healthy aquatic ecosystems and living resources, and safe and effective marine services. In an effort to effectively inform and ensure Canadians feel engaged in the delivery of its science mandate, DFO produces Fieldnotes, an annual compendium of planned science field operations in the North Pacific and Arctic oceans, as well as in the coastal and interior waters of British Columbia and Yukon.

Yukon Bedrock Geology MapThis update of the Yukon bedrock geology map builds upon the previous compilation by Gordey and Makepeace (1999, 2001). It includes new, detailed bedrock geology maps and regional compilations that have been published by the Yukon Geological Survey and the Geological Survey of Canada between 1999 and 2015, as well as some recent thesis works. A few of these maps were partially integrated into the digital dataset by Gordey and Makepeace (2003), but only as overlay to the 1999 compilation. A number of errors and omissions from the 1999 compilation of Gordey and Makepeace were also noted and corrected during compilation of this version of the map.The Yukon bedrock geology GIS dataset is regularly updated and can be downloaded from the Yukon Geological Survey ' s website: [https://yukon.ca/en/science-and-natural-resources/geology](https://yukon.ca/en/science-and-natural-resources/geology) . Users are advised to consult the website regularly to ensure they are working with the latest version of the geodatabase or shape files.
